Based on the pricing, you'd expect it to be amazing. It's not. It's nothing special, and they obviously didn't spend a ton of money on their build out, yet they are charging nearly $12 minimum for a sandwich. Only reason I didn't rate 1 star is because the food was good, just nothing better than I could get for half the price elsewhere. Poor business model at that price point.
I came here for my lunch 30 minutes before they were about to close and they were happy to help me. They have a good selection of drinks along with some locally brewed beers. I ordered a Caesar salad and the Romaine was crisp the cheese was fresh and everything was in well proportions. Only thing I would have changed is maybe seasoning the chicken a little bit more. ? I will definitely have to stop by again to try out the rest of their menu. ?

April, Lou, and their team catered a work lunch for my team and it was perfect! The food was amazing, the service-even more so. They were able to fulfill my order within two days of the event (for 75 people) and were beyond pleasant to work with. Highly recommend using them for your catering needs as well as visiting their restaurant!
We have visited a few times and really enjoyed the excellent and tasty sandwiches, friendly and fast service, and clean environment. We like sitting outside and were allowed to move our table and chairs into the sun when its cold (we also have a dog so we like to sit outside with her.)
The sandwiches were big and delicious. However service sucked.
This review is long overdue and we have been enjoying the Urban Deli for some time but today sitting outside eating lunch we commented once again just how good the sandwiches and service are.I grew up in New Orleans in the late 1950's when the neighborhood deli was a place you knew and they knew you and as a kid we could walk there and have a great lunch. While Urban Deli is essentially in a stip-mall and not in metropolitan hub it has the atmosphere of that neighborhood deli I grew-up enjoying.The Kietzke is my favorite but there is plenty to select from not only in sandwiches but other great items. We have tried all of them and no matter which sandwich you select you can't go wrong.It worth the effort, even if you go out of your way to give them a try and when you do, weather permitting sit outside and take it all in.
The food is absolutely fantastic and so are the owners. It’s our go to sandwich spot.
