The fresh made pasta was well done but that’s where the compliment starts and ends. Our table of six ordered a little of everything and nothing really popped, the flavor of everything we were served was fairly bland or at least nothing to write home about given the expense. The grilled halibut over wild rice (30$)was fair at best, kinda smoky and under seasoned. The steak entree (40$) had a soggy/chewy feel to it and also lacked flavor but the potatoes that came with it was good. The pasta servings are adequate portions (20$) and about 6-8 oz cooked fresh pasta but sauces were flavorless. Skip the bolognese, trust me. We ordered the single portion ricotta lemon cheesecake (9$) which was just ok and apple cobbler(9$) which didn’t taste like apple and didn’t have any crunch/texture to it.
Food was GREAT! Service was great also. Stephen was very busy, but attentive and took care of our needs and requests promptly. Chicken Saltimbocca was delish!
This restaurant was disappointing. We ordered the garden salad, the mushroom ravioli, the filet mignon special, and the Brussels sprouts. Firstly the “filet” wasn’t a filet cut it was what looked like half a NY strip. It had a ribbing of gristle running through the center. The potato’s that came with it were raw and over salted. The garden salad was bitter and uncut saved only by the candied walnuts. The mushroom ravioli was hopelessly bland. Over all very over priced and hopelessly tasteless
Delicious food and great service. All the dishes we had were very tasty, particularly to he pasta & would definitely recommend. The bartender is terrific and very friendly to chat with. Overall will definitely be going back! Side note - would recommend a reservation as they took a bit of time to seat us at 515 even after just opening.
Do not use yelp to book a table. But definitely try this new spot. The food was delicious. Pastas are all homemade. Intimate setting and a reservation should be made, just call them to do it.
Best new restaurant in town. The service, food, environment, etc. are all EXCELLENT!!! My new favorite place.
Tried this place for the first time last time and I must say that I was truly impressed! The service was wonderful. Menu was intriguing. Loved the mushroom ravioli! Can’t wait to come back!
This place is simply amazing. The best Italian food in Reno. The lemon ricotta cheesecake topped off an already fabulous meal. Highly recommend this restaurant. Even the payment method was great! They provided a QR code to pay the bill. Next time you are craving freshly made Italian food visit the kitchen table!
Fantastic place to dine and enjoy authentic Italian eat in a wonderfully decorated and cozy space. Homemade Pasta! I repeat, Homemade Pasta! Family style (but classy!) with some appetizers you certainly won’t see elsewhere in Reno. Must try spot in Reno.
We had a reservation at The Kitchen Table last Saturday night at 6:30. When we arrived our table was not quite ready so we had a drink at the bar and looked over the menu. The restaurant was busy but not too noisy, small and quaint but light and bright. We were seated well past our reservation time (we didn’t mind at all) so the owners (husband and wife) gave us 2 complimentary apps which was not necessary but greatly appreciated. We started with the house bread and the amazing egg yolk ravioli (it is an absolute must if you love egg) We also had the mushroom polenta and a mushroom pizza to share. It was a great meal, great wine and great service. I definitely recommend making a reservation and I know we will be back the next time that we are in Reno. Thanks TKT!
