I’m a huge Pad Thai fan, and I’ve simply had better. It wasn’t bad, and maybe other dishes would live up to the high reviews. The peanut sauce for the spring rolls was a little bland.Service was really good, and the food came out very quickly.
Delicious Thai food here! The vegetable noodle soup had great flavor, and was loaded with fresh veggies. The salt and pepper tofu was hearty and filling. The avocado spring rolls were sold out, unfortunately, but I settled for a house salad, and it was crisp and fresh. Prices are reasonable.The restaurant is clean, and the servers are friendly and polite. Parking is free and ample.I'll happily return!
Thai Lotus food is deep in flavors and tasty, options for all eaters..... sweet, spicy, sour, umami, soft, crunchy, you can find it all here. Definitely try dishes from the special menu. We ate here two evenings in a row with family members living in Reno and they loved every dish we ordered. The currys are succulent bowls of flavorful delights. We always go for spice. Generally they'll ask for a spice level of 1-5...but they offer up to a 10 in case you really like spice!
Yellow curry was tasty, but the sauce was a bit watery and very big chunks of carrots and potatoes are cheap fillers- that struck me. A bit more authentic, with some veggies- I'd be a bit more sold. 3.5 stars - it's good Thai in taste, but a bit watered down in terms of a fulfilling meal. I'll probably go again, with adjusted expectations.
I've had great experiences here in the past and maybe I ordered wrong today. But I was very disappointed with this lunch this afternoon. I ordered orange chicken and Pad Thai and both severely underperformed. The orange chicken (it was fresh at least) was basically tempura fried chicken breast tossed in marmalade? With a slice of orange to fake authenticity? It was very dry and the sauce was beyond lackluster. Picture for reference. But I wrote this off as my fault for ordering Chinese food at a Thai place. Until I tasted the Pad Tai. I always judge a Thai restaurants on their pad thai...how balanced the salty, savory, sour and sweet come together. And this was not good pad tai. The sweet carrot was overwhelming and the sour was far too prominent.
Best Thai Food in Reno NV. 100 percent worth it. Lunch specials and Thai iced tea! Good choice for any occasion. Great prices and worthy portions, extremely great staff-helpful if needed. 9.3 out of 10 - One Bite Everyone Knows the Rules
Nice decor and nice food. The place is very quiet in terms of volume, so that's nice. This would be a great date restaurant. They seem to do a massive carryout bussiness as well, so don't be worried if your in a hurry, take it with you.
The food is delicious. I love Thai but don't get to eat it often. I was also thrilled that they had a menu just for the gluten free options! And it was a full menu. So many choices!I had the mango curry with chicken and it was delicious. Now, I am a spice wimp and said a 2, thinking it would just be a little warm. I felt it in the back of my throat. It wasn't a lasting burn, but I definitely felt a little bit LoL My drink was tiger blood boba tea, which I can only describe as Thai tea with chocolate? I'm not 100% sure but I loved it. It was sweet, but not too sweet. For dessert I have mango and sticky rice. It was absolutely yummy and I made it last as many bites as I could LOLThe staff was also really kind. They took the time to go through menu options, make recommendations, and make sure I didn't over order by pointing out the lunch special version of the dish. It wasn't too busy since they were close to closing so a few chatted with me off and on which was kind since I am alone in a different city.If I was a regular, I would go at least weekly. It was some of the best Thai I've had with a great atmosphere and kind staff. The food also came out so fast! With a starter soup, and with the lunch menu, a small salad and roll. I highly recommend them!
Service was great. Food was really good you can have it mild or flaming hot. Up to you. And served faster than fast food give it a try. You won't be sorry
Food is delicious. We had Panang Curry and Basil Eggplant, borh of them were so good! Staff is nice and restaurant is clean. Highly recommended.
