Food is good, but the quality isn't what it used to be for the burgers. My main issue is that when you charge for sauces (I have no problem with this), the sauces should actually be good. the ranch doesn't taste like ranch and looks more like sour cream. no specks of ranch seasoning whatsoever. The 100o island looked and tasted like mayo with a tiny drop of ketchup. There was no flavor, no islands, nothing good about it.
Good grilled chicken sandwich and cheesy fries one of my favorite burger and shake spots in reno
I've eaten here a few times, and I've always had a good time. I tried calling in an order tonight, and the girl on the phone said sure give me just a minute, I could clearly hear her wrap up her transaction, and then could hear chatter, and 5 minutes later, still on hold, I hung up; Now 20 minutes later I still can't get through.
I've been eating at Scoopers for more than 30 years. The staff is as friendly as I remember. The place is reasonably clean and family friendly. I'd give it at least two more stars if the quality of the food hadn't declined so drastically. I hadn't eaten here in at least six months. I had sticker shock from the prices, but it's understandable in light of supply issues and increased labor costs. Not only were the double cheeseburgers my wife and I ate unjustifiably small for the money, the toppings were more sparse than McDonald's. The fries were overcooked on top of everything else. I'm a huge supporter of local businesses. To the proprietors of Scoopers: If you're going to pass on your costs, don't ruin the quality of your food. I'll return in the near future to see if today was an anomaly. If mediocrity is acceptable, then I'll eventually stop coming. I'll spend a few more dollars and eat at Juicy's instead.FYI: You're doing yourself a disservice by having such a cluttered menu. Decide if you're a burger place or an Applebee's. Having such an extensive menu that includes hot dogs, tacos, burritos, chicken fingers and nachos means you've lost your focus. It is a recipe for poor quality food not to mention a huge amount of waste. You can do better.
I was in town for my boy's baseball tournament and decided to try this establishment. I was very impressed with the food quality, selection choices and overall cost. The establishment seemed like a mom and pop location and was impressed with the customer service and staff personalities. We will definitely be back when we get back in the area.
Fantastic mom and pop establishment with quality food, solid selections and exceptional customer service. From management to the cashier, they were all genuinely nice and eager to provide a quality dining experience. I visited the area for my son's baseball tournament and looking forward to going back.
Solid burger shop. Scoopers has been a staple in town for as long as I can remember. I used to go to the original as a kid all the time. Not only is the food good, it's priced much better then most other restaurants these days.
Have been here numerous times. Always good but this time was perfect. Everything was so clean and tidy from the way the burger was wrapped to how the place looked. Every bite was as tasty as the last and th shake selection is like nowhere else. Tried a blueberry soda for the first time and it was pretty dang good too. ? thumbs up for Scoopers.
The food is great, the people are friendly, the service was awesome and the shakes are the best.
THIS WAS THE BEST FOOD EVER. EVER. Between my whole family, we tasted a variety of items from fries and burgers to pastrami and milkshakes. Not one item disappointed. THE FRIES PUT EVERY OTHER RESTAURANT TO SHAME - THEY'RE AMAZING ? We came for my 5 year old's birthday lunch and after eating she said, "This is the best birthday ever."I highly recommend this to everyone!
