TL;DR: DO NOT STAT HERE!!! UNBEARABLE NOISE FROM THE AC, EVERY ROOM.If there is a negative star, I would give it.The front desk and housekeeping staff were friendly. However, there is a major problem with the rooms of this hotel. We reserved 2 rooms, 1 with 2 queen beds and 1 with a king-size bed. Both rooms were equipped with a very big/old AC.When we walked into the room, we heard the unbearable noise emitting from the AC.We spend a few minutes figuring out how to turn the AC off. However, it still makes noise when it is OFF.And we both were woken up 3~ 4 times during the night because of the noise.Even with earplugs, you could still hear it.I was too mad to go back to bed at one point.I used the decibel app on my phone to test the value, and guess what, it is at 70.If you look up the score, that equals a very busy restaurant.I just can't believe how anyone could take this noise.I also called the front desk to find out whether there is a room without the noise, but to my disappointment, all rooms are equipped with the same clunky AC.

Went in for lunch to see what it's like, the outside seating is wonderful with the river. I had a glass of the house Red and it's not bad at all.I got the chicken with the red sauce and pasta, the chicken had some flavor but the red sauce and pasta were very bland even with extra parmesan cheese. The flat bread and gyro sauce was the best part.Service was a little slow but it's her 4th day on the job. Probably not coming back.

Great experience! Public areas of hotel are hip and stylish. We used Marriott certificates for our stay accumulated during the pandemic and still got a room with a view of the river that was nice and quiet as we requested. Plus the hotel comped our breakfast for all three days - the ticket said "continental", but it was a HUGE full, delicious breakfast which we enjoyed seated outside by the river. Dinner in The Shore restaurant was also excellent - service was attentive and professional. All of the staff were nice and friendly. Thank you for a much needed nice experience!

The food in the R lounge was good for breakfast and the lady that ran did an amazing job. She made sure tables were promptly cleared. She was constantly bringing out more coffee and refilling as things were depleted. She greeted everyone with a smile and a welcoming tone. She really made our stay awesome. The afternoon guy was just going through the motions. Did not make eye contact or say anything. He looked angry all the time. The room was okay with its trendy but very uncomfortable furnishings. The bathroom was dirty and needed a serious cleaning.

First off this place is beautiful and clean but the service is lacking. Do not order room service. What a waste of time and money. After traveling all day to get here all I wanted to do was take a shower and have food delivered. I spoke with a woman who got my entire order wrong. I kept repeating what I wanted she appeared to be new and I don't know if she did it or purpose or the cook did it but no one double checked the order. I have a reaction to onions. I get incredibly sick from ingesting them. I purposely told them no onions and what I got visibly had onions. I called back down to the restaurant and explained my order was wrong ( including dressing) the lady on the phone said she would talk with the person who took my order and call back. It has now been 14 hours and she has never called back and no one cared enough to leave it by the door. I have worked in the service industry and because of that I tip very generously. Even through the meal was wrong I was prepared to tip whoever brought back the corrected meal. Nothing was brought up as I saw this morning when I woke. In a town where there are many food options that can be delivered right to your door this is not the way to get people to stay in and dine.

It's a fine hotel, the issue is what you get for the price. I would expect more. I feel like little details are missing. Pool hours are short and aren't posted anywhere. No hot tub. Rooms are oddly designed. Couldn't find light switches for half the lights and the lights themselves are cheap, glary flourescents. Desk is so narrow my knees were practically touching the wall. TV right above the desk so my head is almost touching the screen. Free internet only if you sign up for a membership? They make signing up for a pain, and the access code didn't work. Had to call concierge for special code to get access, was wowwed by a blistering 2mbps dl speeds. Oh and no microwaves? Really? I gotta call the concierge and wander down to the 4th floor in my underwear to heat up some pizza? I will say that the staff was friendly and helpful. But, overall, I would expect more from a 270$/night hotel.

Anita in housekeeping and Morgan at the front desk were amazing and made our stay all the better! I had a cleaning issue in my room and called the front desk. Anita knocked on my door within 10 minutes to resolve my issue with an apology and a big smile! You could tell she loved her work and was proud to represent the Renaissance. Morgan was our bartender for our pre-event cocktail - made a great martini and beer suggestions, asked where we were from and made us feel appreciated. Such a great experience. We will return for sure and are locals! Fun getaway.

Update on my stay: from 8-11 PM adult men drove remote control cars up and down the hall ways. It was so loud I thought their was construction work. I asked the front desk to address it 4 or 5 times but when they came up, the men put away the car. I was woken up at 7 AM by them driving it again.House keeping came and did an okay job. They did not replace the lotion and soap i was running out of, and they left behind my dirty towel in the tub. The new towel the brought was covered in long curly black hairs. (Not mine). Not like 1 or 2 hairs, like so many hairs that im finding them on me still!I love the breakfast at the Shore, amazing food! But i do not love waiting 20 mins for someone to take my order when i am one of 4 people in this entire restaurant.

Love Renaissance Reno! The service here is five star for team meetings, events, and workshops. They have accommodated our every need. Special thanks to Robbie Loose and the team at Renaissance for the incredible customer service.

It’s very unfortunate that I have to leave this one star review. While the property may be recently renovated, there are lots of little things that need to be addressed that aren’t. Unfortunately I was given a handicapped room as a non handicapped person; this handicapped room was in a state of disrepair, and because I am here for business the staff could care less. I spoke to the staff regarding these issues and their responses and lack of solutions were totally dismal, especially considering this is a high end Marriott property. If you are traveling with a group or under a corporate travel contract I would highly consider booking elsewhere. While the property itself is ok, the customer service is not.
