I never really write reviews for anywhere, but I used to come weekly, for a couple years. Was an addict for the painting. I’m not good at it by myself but time and time again I go home with a fantastic painting, even in the more advanced classes, I’ve hung most of mine up and even gifted some because I was so proud I made something with my little to no art sense! Been picking up some tricks and tips. Went on my 30th birthday not so long ago and even all the new people treated me like I was family! I love this place and I’ll try to be back real soon!
Picasso and wine is one of my favorite businesses in Midtown. There’s not very much out there that you can do that’s fun and exciting and makes a great date night with friends or your spouse. Everyone there is super friendly and we always have a great time every time we come.
Honestly one of the worst experiences we've ever had. I am not normally one to write a bad review but the whole thing was just upsetting. We did a Starwars painting night and the whole thing just gave me anxiety. When we walked in there was no context on where to get drinks. I had to ask around and even the people around me were unsure. They served us for the first one but during the break we were told to go up to the bar, they then told me that the first round of orders haven't finished coming out yet; I mean she took my drink down but the miscommunication stressed me out. Secondly the instructor felt the need to call people out for their comments. We immediately felt like it was not a comfortable space to have a conversation. I get that rude comments are inappropriate but there is not a need to make that acknowledged across the board that you're listening to us. This class was marked for beginners but I got "called out" for having my brushes in my water, maybe guidance instead of a lecture would work well for beginners. The class itself was listed for 6:30 PM-8:30 PM. We didn't start the class until about 7pm then we ended up leaving at 9:00PM because we had pre existing plans and they weren't even on the more detailed part of the painting yet. Why set a time frame if you are going to overly exceed it; we couldn't even finish the experience so it was a pretty much waste of money. The instructor also kept calling someone "Shirley Temple" which made me super uncomfortable because it seemed like she was picking on him for not drinking. There was also an uncomfortable amount of inappropriate jokes. We were also forced to say please and thank you for paint; which don't get me wrong I have manners but I think that FORCING people to say it is a little inappropriate for a public class of different variables of people.
It was fun and a great way to promote self-care.
Amazing people! Great environment! Friendly and helpful!
Great place to spend a couple of hours painting and having fun. Just the act of painting can be relaxing, and it allows you to forget the outside world for a while. Also, it doesn't matter how your painting turns out because you had fun making it, and there's always next time.
This was our first "Paint your Pet" night as a couple. Both of us have previous art experience and we both had a wonderful time. Perfect for beginners, but entertaining for intermediate to advanced painters as well. The instruction was lively and fun. The drinks were tasty and strong. The space was clean and creative and we enjoyed the residents' fur babies' company. Would highly recommend them!
Right before class began, I paid $80 for my daughter and I to attend. She is very into painting. I was told we could not come in due to her being a minor. They said they would void my pmt, as no service was given. I thought this was handled. A month later, this place is refusing to return my $80 refund. We were not allowed in the class, so why are they refusing to return the money? They later offered a $40 voucher, but do they honestly think I will return to this place after they stole my money? Greedy. We did not cancel. We were not allowed in.

Such a unique experience in a cute little building! The instructor and the bartender were (sisters) we're both great. Even if you've never painted, you'll be laughing and enjoying it all after your first few drinks from the full bar. Highly recommend, especially for date nights. Great way to make new friends.
