Not crowded the day we went in. I appreciated the overwhelming menu options, as well as the pictures on the walls. We ordered the same thing lacking one enchilada. I am from Texas, eaten Tex-Mex and authentic Mexican foods all my life. I have been disappointed more often then not in my endeavors, from California to Washington, not a thing. As I write, I was almost reminded of my childhood while eating, for that reason I must recommend this restaurant.
Way better (and significantly cheaper) than the over-priced casino food across the street. But what really stood out to me was the authenticity. Great little place.
We stopped here from California and was probably the best Mexican food spot we had there in Reno. The micheladas were so good we ordered seconds. Everything was very tasty and yes was a little pricey but they had big portions for every plate! I love how the elder man was walking around making sure everything was clean and that everyone was satisfied! Such a great little spot that is very busy and you might even have to wait to sit down and eat but its worth the wait!
I m visiting Reno , i live in Seattle, Love the tacos , reminds me to Taqueria El Farolito in Sanfran , service was good, very friendly staff.
Hole in the wall? Yes.Not great looking place? Yes.Maybe, just maybe, the best tacos I've ever had? Yes.
A hole in the wall with absolutely incredible food. The tacos are so good! Friendly, welcoming staff and delicious food for a fair price. Can’t beat it!
This place was alright, I ordered two things for take out $40-$50. They were nice enough to make their birria into a soup, but it was missing a lot flavors. Their menudo was a little disappointing too. For those who can travel, fly to SFO El Farrolitos for their menudo.
Los Gallos Taqueria has by far the best authentic Mexican food in Reno area. The service is excellent, I could eat the tortillas all alone, the atmosphere is warm and inviting. If I had one place to eat dinner at for the rest of my life this would be it.
Expensive. Dirty. Dropped 50 bucks on 2 burritos a nachos and a 7 dollar side of beans and rice. The whole time they were blasting bandellro music videos. Years ago this place had tasty food at good prices but no more. Don't waste your time or money here.
Food was good but communication was not! Paid 28.00 for a drink and beef chimichanga with rice and beans on side. Kinda expensive for a simple meal. The chimy was very good.
