This place has very low standards when It comes to food storage temperatures. Almost every order I've ever got from here, the ingredients have been luke warm. I've gotten food poisoning here twice , the owner really needs to start enforcement of basic food storage standards. I only go here once a year now, just to see if anything has changed. It hasn't. If they want to know why their business is dropping off, this would be a great place to start ? I'll update this if anything changes next time
Freshly grilled soft corn tortillas, stuffed with beef, cheese, lettuce, and sauce. Add some diablo and Verde for the perfect flavor combo! Chicken tacos were good too! The signature parmesan on the shell makes the flavors over the top good!Service was good, and speedy.
Hands down worst Jimboys I've ever been to. Their burritos are the same size as the tacos served in other locations. Every time I go, they put less food in the bag. It's the closest one to me or I would never go again. Tonight was a half empty tortilla with maybe 6oz of chicken. It makes me wonder if the manager is ripping off the owner and pocketing money they claim they're using for supply orders. It doesn't make any sense to me that their items are literally a third the size of every other location and are getting smaller and smaller with every visit.
So I'm from the east coast, never heard of jimboys tacos but was very hopeful to try something new. I was throughly confused by this place. I ordered a burrito which was about $9 where it's just meat and cheese...that's it no veggies, no guac and hardly no flavor. If you are expecting a burrito the size of a normal burrito, prepare to be disappointment because the burrito I received was the total size of a taco. It was folded over like a wrap and much smaller than a wrap. I was not a fan of the tacos either. In total I dropped almost $20 for 1 burrito, 2 tacos and 1 quesadilla. You would get better food at taco bell. Or better yet aldertos has AMAZING food way cheaper than this place. I'll never be back.
My order consisted of 2 regular ground beef tacos and a ground beef taco salad, the 2 regular tacos had about less then a teaspoon of ground beef and next to nothing of lettuce, I had made a phone call to them and explained what was going on the guy on the other end of the phone, he told me to go to Taco Bell if I wasn’t satisfied
The food is disgusting. Super greasy. Quesadilla tasted like chemicals halfway through, like they just cleaned the grill.
This has to be the slowest Drive Thru in all of Reno. 25 minute wait with only 2 cars in front of me. They only got one bag each so it wasn't a large order. The resturant here is either under staffed or the staff here work really really slow. You look in the window and they are just taking to one another while laying against the counter. The food was good. Was it Worth the wait? No it wasn't.
I just ate for the first time and last time at Jimbo's tacos I ordered the taquitos and it came wrapped in foil, the queso or cheese was a sauce, I looked at it bewildered and asked the girl if there was salsa, she said it's on top of the taquitos. There was a small dollop of guacamole and sour cream. I wish I had taken a picture but was so hungry I just started eating. I paid over $8 with tax for something that should have cost no more than $3.50. It was by far the most disappointing Mexican meal I have ever eaten, as for taquitos or rolled tacos they're laughable. I'll never eat at any Jimboy's Tacos again, this one is located in Lemon Valley and appears brand new. Good luck Jimboy's you're going to need it. Now I'm going up the road to McDonald's where I know what my money buys me.
In my humble opinion, Jim Boy's Tacos has the best tacos as compared to the other fast food places specializing in tacos. My only complaint is that their franchises are not widespread, so it's rare that I come across one of these places. I might add that the employees are particularly friendly.
The staff is considerably rude to the customers at this location. Constantly order online food and the door is locked for no reason preventing customers from picking up their food. Have to wait for them to realize that somebody is there and come and unlock the door if they do it all. I buy at least three meals a week from this place but I will no longer. I will go down the hill in order from the other one from now on. If you're that afraid to leave the door unlocked maybe you shouldn't be in business.
