Jim Boys, started in Tahoe but seems it became what it is in Reno and Sparks. They have been around 40+ years and everything they make is great. It is known, at least in my circle for their unique and wonderful beef tacos. They are something you must try for yourself. Any description I try would not give them true justice. If you get the chance stop and give it a try. When you see the arterial plugging grease ignore it cuz it's part of the greatness.
Now these are some bomb ? tacos ! I wish the quesadilla was bigger but ??♀️. The rice and beans are delicious and let's not forget the famous tasting fries/wedges they have! Just go there you won't be disappointed ??
First off ignore the Diarra stained tables in the front I assume the homeless or ill table mannered children are responsible for , the front guy who takes orders from the commonwealth of reno demanding tacos in perfect order and fineness ,again got a order wrong , who's order? My girlfriend's order , so guy who just made my night ? a night to remember ahhemmcoff coff NOT! A good one , order online is better going into this place is different in a not good way at all.
I don't get it. Just greasy tacos without much flavor or texture

You have to know what you're here for. It's fast food. The priority is speed, and they clearly try to squeeze as much quality as they can into their product while keeping the quick-paced mentality.The food is fresh and delicious. It isn't gourmet, and isn't trying to be. But they are quick and consistent!Dining room is larger than you'd expect, and the space was clean and organized.
Greasy hard shells. They messed up the order and wanted to freak out about a missing taco. The tacos were so bad I told them to keep the taco. There are a hundred better Mexican restaurants in the area. I only leave a review cause it was a horrid. To each their own.
We absolutely love Jim boys. We stop here every time we come through. Your ground beef tacos and shrimp tacos are fantastic,also The shredded beef quesadilla. Actually was never had anything we can absolutely love
My first experience with Jim Boy’s Tacos was 5yrs ago at their Disneyland location. Great food. I signed up for their app and rewards program. They do not have one in Central CA. so I have not had the opportunity to return to one.Fast forward to today and I am staying in Reno near this location and decided to try them again. Big mistake. The appearance came off as though it was a closed location that was privately purchased and passing themselves off as a franchise. The food had blackened griddle scrapings in it and the dining room is in need of a good scrubbing. I had ordered a super burrito, taco and small soda for $11 and change. At first I was going to pay with my app which had a $10 credit as well as a birthday reward. I was informed that they did not accept the app at this location. When I checked on Jim Boy’s website, it did not even list this location as one of theirs.While the staff was friendly and respectful, this Jim Boy’s location is most definitely NOT being supported by the corporation.
