Went in to buy Strudel for myself & 3 friends shopping at the farmers market. There were 4 pieces on display which I asked to buy. Was informed that I could only buy 3 because it was early in the morning. Stood there stunned for a minute trying to figure out the logic of that. Asked why I was only limited to 3 and had to leave one for evidently someone else. The only other reason I was given was that they were a small bakery. After shopping was all done at farmers market, stopped back by (all 4 still there) & ask the lady who seemed to be in charge to help me decide who in my party could not have one. That really set her off & I was still given the ultimatum that only 3 were for sale to me.If I could offer a little business advice, please only put 3 in view if that is all you want to sell at any time. Instead you have a customer that has occasionally been stopping by for years posting on you & not coming back. I understand why you are a small bakery.6/23/2022In reply to the response to this post I will only say that looking at pictures posted of the person who has ownership of this bakery, that is who was so rudely talking to me. Maybe employees need to help the owner make better decisions regarding customer interactions.

I purchased a loaf of banana bread on Tuesday 25th. It looked amazing, moist and fresh. It had been a long time between visits to the bakery (covid) and I was looking forward to slicing into it later with my husband as it had been a favorite treat for us.The loaf proved to be a huge disappointment. Dry texture, flavorless and most of the walnuts were scattered on top of the loaf. We could not taste either banana or any spices. We talked about sharing the remainder of the loaf with our friends next door as we will not finish it and my husband said no, If we share any bread, it will be one that you bake, then we’ll know they will enjoy it. If not for the hour and a half drive from us to your bakery I would have returned the remainder of the bread to you with our feedback.

Purchased a sourdough and mini cinnamon rolls. I was so eager to try this assuming it would be fresh and worth the 15 bucks.... it was so disappointing. The bread had no sourdough taste at all and was extremely dry. The cinnamon rolls were hard as if they were a few days old and they were soaked in icing.

don't order them from doordash its a disaster

Thanksgiving was great, but the best part was the sandwich we had the next day on the cheddar herb garlic sourdough. It was the highlight!

Just went this morning. The shop looked cute and the lady at the register was nice. It's just, you go to a bakery because it's supposed to be as good as homebaked bread. I got two loaves, sourdough and banana walnut. Both were dry and the sourdough wasn't sour at all. A bit disappointing to buy 2 loaves for $16 that are comparable to the in store brand at any grocery store. I have no qualms against the store, just wasn't what I was expecting from a bakery.

Been going here now on a regular basis for a year and still loving it.Fantastic sandwich selection for lunch, best cinnamon twists I have ever had (no idea how other reviewers could day they weren't good) well priced fresh bread, and special seasonal or event items like kings cakes and holiday cookies.People like to compare house of bread to perenn bakery and I personally prefer house of bread any time I want something on the more savory side.I will say that sometimes the quality is inconsistent and the taste or texture you get for a pastry one day could be different depending on the day or time of day you arrive. It's never bad, but I have head cinnamon buns that were extra doughy and some that were a bit flaky.I do have to say though, reading through some of the reviews here, whoever is responding to the customer reviews is not being very professional. I like this place, but please be more considerate in your responses to customers who have had bad experiences, it does not make the shop come off in the best light.

Fabulous fresh bread. Worth the drive over

This place is way overpriced and the quality is just not worth it. Owners or management are rude and not helpful. Skip the bland overpriced crumbles you’ll receive here and go support a business that deserves your money: My Favorite Muffin, El Jalisco Bakery, Perenn Midtown, Josef's Vienna Bakery, and Homage are all better flavor/texture, more bang for your buck, and better service. I didn’t think it was possible to dislike a cinnamon roll until I tried theirs and the bread was really disappointing.edit 10/14: Also their response to my criticism and suggestions for other bakeries in the area shows how poorly they treat their customers. I have been here a few times due to working nearby. I thought it was possibly pandemic related staffing issues but it appears to just be a rude owner based upon the responses seen here.
