So I called them on 6/18/22 to ask if they served meatloaf and mashed potatoes, they said that they didn't so I hesitantly ordered their ground chuck with mashed potatoes and gravy. Well it turned out to be ground sirloin with mashed potatoes and gravy. Ground sirloin is so dry there is not enough gravy in the world to moisten a fried dried out sirloin patty. It was horrible to pay the price I paid for what I received. If you plan on ordering the ground chuck with mashed and gravy, be sure to confirm with them first if it's available. Also, make sure to get your receipt!
What a nice discovery! We were in northern Reno and needed a quick place to eat. We came across Hometown Cafe and never looked back. It was packed, very casual, roomy, and had lots of options. Super-friendly service started us off. Hubs settled on hamburger steak, plentiful salad, mashed potatoes, and fresh veggies----loved it! I went for eggs, great corned beef hash, and homestyle potatoes. Tired of fru-fru food, this really hit the spot. Don't be discouraged by the building, which also houses a gas station, a vet clinic, & several others. This is a really great diner!

I have had the greatest experience at Hometown Cafe in Lemmon Valley! The breakfast here is amazing and all around service was fantastic, our waitress was efficient and of great respect, polite, and always checked on my daughter and I often to see if we needed anything else. My next stop in there will be for a lunch! I highly recommend Hometown Cafe ❣️?☺️
My family really liked it. The biscuits and gravy were great! I had the California omelette and it's was real good. I would go again. It was busy so prepare yourself for that.
This place is so good! Absolute 10/10 service, the food is amazing, the atmosphere is wonderful and authentic. I can't recommend this place enough.
Stopped here on our way out of town headed back to Oregon and WOW! Amazing food, great service and quick too! I had the chicken fried steak and eggs and husband had the California Omlet and it was definitely delicious! Highly recommend if you're in the area! One of the best meals we had on our trip ?
Good food, good service. Will make a Plant Based breakfast. But like most restaurants you will have to be creative. But a nice quiet place to eat and enjoy. And the price is rite.
This place was so delicious, my wife and i had to come in two days in a row. I had the steak eggs and hashbrowns both days and my wife had the california omelette the first day and the second day she had the chorizzo enchilada for breakfast. Absolutely delicious!! The service was amazing and because im a creature of habit i ordered the same thing i had the first time i came in the waitress Bri remembered my order from the previous day..needless to say we will be becoming regulars here. Thank you for the amazing service!
Great food and excellent service! Busy place so you know the food is going to be good. Has a cozy local mom and pop feel too. Nice big portions and tastes terrific.
