I use to love this restaurant but the last couple years it keeps getting worse. Today my family and received are drinks. I’m a very patient guy and understanding of all the obstacles as my mom was a waitress, cook and owner. So we waited for about ten minutes then we were informed we were being stalled to let the grill catch up. I figured at least the guy was honest. Another couple came in and sat next to us ordered there drinks figured they would have to wait as well but there waitress brought there bowls rite away. We waited another ten minutes then I told her what the other waiter told me and she ran to the cook which talked to the waiter. I could tell he was mad avoiding any drama I decided it was time for us to leave. On the way out the door the cook said Thankyou have a good day. Across the street my wife noticed a Huckleberries which took us in and took care of us with a smile.
First time here so asked the waiter lots of questions about their food selection and process. He was very nice and answered all my questions. The whole staff was nice. The food was great. Ordered the Udon noodles with carne asada, shrimp, and carrots with Mongolian sauce. The carne asada was very well seasoned! The hubby ordered rice noodles with crab. Would definitely recommend and will be back!
i’m very picky with my food so it’s amazing that I can create my own bowl and portions myself!! Jenni and Cheyenne were both great in making sure we had everything we needed. The food was great but definitely coming back for the service.
Just got back from Genghis Grill 5/28/2022. We always liked going in the past but after today we maybe rethinking going again. The service was slow and the cost was $$$$$. My 9&11 year olds ordered kids mac&cheese it was $8 a bowl for maybe a half a cup. It didn't even come close to filling them up so we ordered another bowl each in total we paid $32 for maybe 2 cups of supposedly Kraft Mac&Cheese. I gave 2 stars because the bowls the rest of us (4people) got were good.
We have come to this restaurant for many years and it's going down in quality. We could see it was very busy but we didn't mind waiting. The problem was after an hour of waiting for the chefs to cook our food the waitress handed me a burnt bowl of food. They started out with 3 guys cooking down to 1 guy even though it was still busy. They let my food stay on the flat top till it was completely burnt and then served it to me. It was definitely an issue with who was in charge of what sections. Why would they just leave and not come back to finish what they started and just let it burn to a black gooey mess. The person who seated us was very nice though and refunded my dinner, but we paid for my husband's as his was only slightly burnt. It was so bad that I don't know if I want to take the chance to ever go back.
Good fresh ingredients you put together yourself and good service
I do door dash delivery pick ups from here. The staff is always very pleasant and food is amazingly prepared. My wife and I love the food here as well. Look forward to going every chance I get.
As a group of 4, we were greeted nicely at the door and sat quickly but our server took way too long to greet us (~20 minutes) when the place was pretty much empty. The ambiance is lacking, and this style of restaurant felt like a cattle call …Not impressive, but food was good quality and nicely prepared. If I went again, I would be looking for a better experience.
We came into Genghis grill on Saturday night - 02/19/2022 on Damone Ranch in Reno, NVThe food is always amazing, but it is the second time we come and get really bad costumer service. Lindsay was our server, when she took our drink and bowl size orders she was alright. But after that she just left us hanging. We asked her for a high chair and she never brought it. She never came back and asked if we wanted refills on our drinks. We waited a while for her to come back to even offer us to go boxes. Next thing we see is her getting food for herself. When she finally came to bring us the bill, she was using a little machine. We were paying and decided to leave cash for the tip. She went ahead and added the tip herself and got upset when we noticed she had added it without asking first. We leave the tip on the table and head out to our car, next think you know she comes to the door and flips us off at the same time she curses us out. You guys definitely need to train your employees better to be kind. It’s not very professional of you to have an employee like that
Food was way overcooked, guys on grill were more interested in their phones, leaving the food to burn. The only reason I gave 2 stars is the waitress was really nice. Also a little pricey for the quality of food.
