Originally I was going to write a disappointing review but in the end the result was fantastic. Last weekend I ordered a sandwich with a couple of additions to that sandwich. I paid $15.00 for the combo, that's a lot for me sometimes, but I was treating myself. The sandwich was not edible and not what I ordered. Fast forward to me speaking with Rosie, the GM at this location. Rosie was so kind and professional, apologetic and reasonable. I was not looking for a refund or anything, more of just informing her of the errors. Rosie insisted I let them make my sandwich right. That sandwich was EVERYTHING!!! In a time where everyone is short staffed and short tempered, this experience reminded me that we are all doing our best. Thank you Rosie and Capriotti's!
Foods great. The person at the counter was very friendly and helpful. One problem is that there was no real rush to get your food out. I was one of the few customers there and it took them over a half an hour to do 2 sandwiches.
I'm hoping to write a GOOD review soon, but this isn't it. I seem to have very little luck with delivery food.Prior to this, only two of my three salads showed up with a delivery order from Capriotti's on Plumb Lane, so this time I switched to their Kietzke location. Ordered from their website and added special instructions to each one of three sandwiches for them to "TOAST THE BREAD VERY WELL...MAYBE DOUBLE TOASTED?" Tried calling them several times after I placed the order to make sure they'd see my notes, but they weren't answering their phone. All the food I ordered arrived this time. (Yay!) The salads were good. The two small (5") sandwiches had the right ingredients, but NONE of the bread had been toasted on any of the sandwiches. (Someone told me they automatically toast bread on chicken sandwiches, but these weren't chicken.) The third sandwich, the big (18"), expensive ($22), and usually delicious cheesesteak sandwich was a disaster. Far from delicious like ones I'd had at Plumb Lane, this one had plenty of meat and some grilled onions and red peppers, but there were no mushrooms, and I could find almost no cheese at all. Without cheese, the sandwich was horribly dry. On top of that, at each end of the sandwich, there was 2" of nothing but white (untoasted) bread with no filling at all! At least the ends had a little bit of that cheese I'd been trying to find!PHOTO OF 18" SANDWICH CENTER SECTION: Middle of 18" cheesesteak sandwich: plenty of meat, some onions/red peppers; mushrooms are missing, as is cheese. Brown color on the bread is not toasting, but just grease from the grilled onions.PHOTO OF 18" SANDWICH END: 4.5" of nothing but white bread and a tiny bit of filling on both ends of the 18" cheesesteak sandwich...but I found the cheese!
If you plan on going here for lunch and have an hour to waste in order to get your food, then this is the place for you. Otherwise don't come. So understaffed I feel bad for the workers. I would think knowing $100 of dollars are walking out that door cause people don't want to wait you would think they might step up and help. Don't know the owners but they are obviously not worried about money, customers or their shop. Rediculous. So FYI if you got nothing better to do at lunch. Come on down to Capriotti's worst waste of a day. Ps after all the wait their sandwiches are over priced and not worth it. Totally worth the one star given.
Love Capriotti's. It's been awhile though. Wait was 30 minutes because our order was missed. Worse i bit into a small piece of plastic. Yikes.
Horrible if I could rate zero stars I would. Bad customer service, long wait time, loud and rude employees. Jonothan took our orders and was rude from the get go. We ordered 4 sandwiches and waited an hour. Whilst we we waited they asked what our order was and what was on our food SEVERAL times. Jonothan and the other employees that were there were constantly cursing about another employee named Raul who at the time wasn't there. When we finally did get our food, 3 out of 4 of the sandwiches were completely wrong and when we told them Jonothan argued that they were "backed up" (granted the store only had 5 people including us in there) but offered to remake them anyway. My mom left the store to get the receipt to show how they should've been made. But upon her arrival back into the store he told her "There is nothing we can do since you walked out with an attitude". To which she said was stupid prompting him to call her insults on the way out.
If I could rate my experience a 0, I would. The young man who helped me got my order wrong after repeating it back to me 3 times. Then I waited an hour for my sandwiches. I spent over 50 dollars for four sandwiches, which 3 were made wrong. I will never go back here again.
On the 19th I bought a steak sandwich at 4:10. It was ready at 4:36. At 5pm I ate the sandwich and by 9pm I was sick as I can ever remember being. That's the only thing I ate that day. I googled food poisoning and I have ALL the symptoms. I will never go back.
I love Capriotti’s, and I really appreciate that they have great vegetarian options…but I always have quality issues with this particular location on Kietzke. A year or so ago, I literally found a metal bolt baked into the bread, which is pretty serious! For that they offered me a free cookie, lol. Today I unwrapped my sandwich to find a gross hair right on top. Had to throw the entire thing away.I have not had issues with the other locations, but unfortunately I am going to have to stop ordering from this one because their standards just don’t quite seem up to expectations.
This was one of the first sandwich places we've tried moving to Reno and it does not disappoint!!!! I tried the Capstrami 10in. and it was amazing! Will definitely be back again!
