Absolutely the worst Mexican food in Reno. Took a full hour for everyone to get served. Would serve us separately. By the end one of my other colleagues still hadn't gotten his food by the time we were all done , that's when he received it! It was very unsanitary and I just called the health department to advice them this. My colleagues and I both got diarrhea from this place. The meat was very hard and dry, not taste. They also had flies ( DEAD ) hanging on the air vent so when it's blowing the dead flies land on your food. Just please save your money and eat elsewhere everyone. I can assure you there is better places to eat and I hope this place shuts down! Called health department also?
It had been a while since we had been to Beto's and it seems either they were having a bad day or going down hill. I ordered carnitas and al pastor tacos and they were not good. The carnitas tasted as though they had been microwaved. The texture was very hard and rubbery and difficult to chew. The al pastor was okay. They both had barely any cilantro or onion. We won't be coming back anytime soon. Luckily Reno has many other great choices.
Betos used to be awesome, now it sucks. I'm not sure where it all went bad but something changed about a year or so ago. This was the "go to" in Reno for good Mexican food, now, if you want to drive to Lemmon Valley, Tacos Jalisco is really good and the one in Truckee is even better. Also, Bertha Mirandas on Mill St is still a great sit down restaurant with nice staff, good menu, and pleasant atmosphere.
Will never go to this place again. Worst food ever gave me food posing! The reviews were good so I stopped and gave it a try but totally the opposite. Do Not Go There!
I do not get the high ratings for this place. I waited 25 minutes for my food after ordering, the torta I ordered was burnt and they screwed up the order. They screwed up every aspect of the dining experience.
It's been a few years since I've been here, I was disappointed when I got home with my meal, I ordered 2 tacos and an enchilada. I was surprised to see one taco and 2 enchiladas upon arriving at home. The taste of the food seems more mundane than 5 years ago, nice employees, great price point, it sees (in my opinion) something has changed regarding the flavor of the menu items.
The food is ok, not great, but subpar for the price. C'mon, on what planet does frijoles and cheese cost $8? The carnitas are bland, the tortillas were made last week. The young man behind the counter was unprofessional and flat out rude. I won't be back and I suggest you go somewhere else
Betos is good. Always go there when I miss my mommas cooking and they make it feel just like home. A bit pricey, but you pay for what you get!
This place is popular, maybe because there are so many workers at the hospital and medical facilities nearby. The food is of reliable quality.
This place was once a great inexpensive Mexican with solid food, it’s now so so. But they still make a excellent Michelada.Do not order , I repeat do not order the tamales, complete waste of money. They are small, with hardly any filling and over cooked and dried out and hard edges from being reheated in a microwave.Eating area was clean service is good, food was fast. But you can do way better with better food at another Mexican restaurant. Unless you are drunk any thing taste good to you, please, Don’t waste your time or money here .
