The food tasted good, the chicken was fresh and I appreciated the atmosphere. My only complaint was when I ordered the taco salad, I had asked for shredded chicken and no avocado since I am allergic. The waitress brought the food out and Once she placed my plate down I saw there was avocado and grilled chicken. The chicken was no big deal because I didn't want to be too complicated but I did mention to her that I cannot have avocado ( I know people are only human and make mistakes so the first time was no big deal). She promptly takes my plate back to the kitchen and assures me that it's not a problem for them to make it again. Within 2 minutes she brought it back out and I mentioned to my husband that I was impressed with how fast they were making it again for me. I take one bite unknowingly that the food was in fact not made again but the avocado was scrapped or picked out and there was residual avocado on the sides of the tortilla. My husband had to step in and tell the waitress once again that I cannot have avocado due to my allergy. Fortunately I only had a small bit of chicken that didn't have anything on it.I am only disappointed that it took me mentioning twice that I cannot have avocado. I don't want to assume but it felt like they were trying to pull a fast one on me. Especially since my husband and I were the only ones in the dining area. Just thought I should mention this so management can maybe remind people that no means no. Thanks.
We were excited to try this place hearing it had great mexican food. The food itself was fine, but nothing out of the ordinary. It was busy, but not packed when we were there. They seemed overwhelmed. We asked the woman upfront for a table and she looked at us like we were bothering her and to just go get a table - like we should have known to seat ourselves. Then, the same woman took our orders. On the menu there is a burrito (wet) and burrito (dry). I had never seen that before and asked what that meant. She rolled her eyes like I was an idiot and said with or without sauce. I wanted to ask what kind of sauce but felt I was bothering her. I understand that restaurants are understaffed and have issues getting servers these days, but that doesn't excuse rudeness. Once we got our meals, we never saw her again. I wanted some sour cream, but never was able to get her attention. Then we had to figure out how to get our bill so we could leave. The location was great, and I see some reviews where people liked their food so it has good potential, but it needs to be run a little more professionally with nicer, more attentive service.
It is good and $20 is $20 but they cooked my fajitas with A1 sauce which is about the least Mexican thing possible.
Had a lot of fun at Antonio's! Ordered a burrito thinking I'll save half for later- nope ate the whole thing in one go! My friend got tacos and they were delicious too! Even the cactus! Give it a try.
DO NOT MISS THIS PLACE!!!!!Such a warm inviting place. The staff greeted us like we were family and the server Anthony was super friendly. We didn't try any thing from the drink menu, but it looks fantastic and the ones we saw come out left smiles on those who did. All the food was absolutely mouth watering amazing.A definite stop if you're in the area
Great food, great vibe, great art, great location, great staff. The owners son was our server and his energy brought smiles each time he came by. The food was fantastic authentic Mexican food. 3 adults and 4 teenage boys who order adults style for just under $105 before tip. I think for a downtown Reno location that will please everyone in the family with options and not break the bank, come to Antonio’s. The are selections on the wall are great. I posted this picture which has a Gaucho playing to his love where they’re both embedded in the faces of the male and female old couple with an old-drawn face. It’s beautiful. I asked if I could buy it.
Super friendly place with a loyal fan base. The owners do a great job making sure everyone is taken care of and having a good time. Very casual, almost a diner. I was sad as my favorite Mexican restaurant was closed, came here, and found a very good substitute. Good food and good vibes, and on the River!
Me and my girlfriend love this place, we've been going here for years. The owner's son Anthony is the coolest dude ever, such full of energy he always treats his customers right and goes the extra mile. Very respectful staff, excellent food I would highly suggest hit the spot up if you are in the mood for some Mexican food.

They Have A Brand New Cook.Food is very good, prices are very affordable and you get large fresh portions.Family owned they pride themselves on customer service,Guacamole is house made and the same with the salsa and chips. Michelada, is the best in downtown Reno. My favorite is the Chili Relleno combo, rice, beans, Salad. Done to perfection. They have a large outside area to dine and people watch, inside is a bar area and in door dining. Great Latino music of many genres.
