The Al Pastor made me feel like I died and went to heaven. Hands down the BEST al pastor I have EVER had. Perfectly tender, savory, and spicy. Generous amounts of cilantro, lime, and onion. You can tell the tortillas are fresh, as you can taste the fresh masa. One of the (if not the best) tacos I have ever had in my life. Why did we have the come here on a vacation to Vegas?!?!?! I wish they had this closer to me.
I've been coming to Tacos El Gordo for years now when I come to Vegas it's hands down the best tacos north of the border. Generous with the meat and quick service, a lot of the locations have very long lines despite how fast they put your tacos together it's just the volume of people that come in. I'm a fan of their pastor tacos on flour tortillas. You must try them if you're in town. This location is one of the furthest from the strip and is my go to on the way in or out of Vegas.
In A Nutshell:-This Tacos El Gordo location is off the Strip from their original location.-This makes it more convenient to get to, especially if you are a truck driver (this is a big truck stop area).-I really like the drive-thru so you don't have to get out of your car to order.-I like their vampiro carne asada & cabeza tacos.-Their tacos really taste authentic & I like the lime, salsas & radish you get all in zip lock bags to-go.Overall, if you are in the mood for authentic tacos, go to Tacos El Gordo.
The absolute best!! Never disappoints at all. Always hits the spot! It is pricy but well worth it!!
We were visiting a friend who know how much I love tacos so we came here for lunch one day. These were the BEST!!!
So its a bit confusing for first timers. ? they have separate lines to order from, depending on what meat you wish to order...that's the line you go to. Once you order and get the food you make another line to pay.The place was very busy, but it was kept pretty clean. The food was delicios and portions are not so small.
This place is the culinary version of an angel of mercy swooping down in a desert with a tall glass of your favorite cold beverage, if that angels name was Miguel. The Gordo, as we like to call it, is the bomb.com.. it simply cannot be beaten. My advice: try some of the head meat. You won't be disappointed.
Maria Has the worst customer service ever. My Family waited for an order of fries to be corrected. And she downgraded our order. I believe she is very unethical and does not deserve to be disrespectful to the customers. I strongly urge u to train her in the best way possible because this is the reason you are losing valuable customers. I have Jenn going to tacos el gordo since they opened in Tijuana and never have I ever received this type of treatment. She offended my family as well as myself. I never want to return to this place nor do I ever want to recommend this place to anyone. This was a rude awakening. The food quality is very poor and the service given by Maria is the worst . I can’t believe that she would have the title of manager. SMH. This is the reason why this place is soo empty. Don’t go to this place.
Had two pork tacos and two steak tacos. Really good meat and sauce on both styles. Seemed to be a steady stream of customers while I enjoyed my lunch. Also, friendly workers and good service. Thanks!
The best tacos you will not find a better pastor taco anywhere else. The guy making the food was very fast and a great cook. Wait time was over one hour but it was very very good. They have a fridge with pre packed limes would highly recommend.
