The food was great, not salty hot and fresh. I ordered the oxtails plate, (I like the took most of the bones out) w/greens & yams, (delicious) the fried ribs plate w/ Mac & cheese, greens ( they didn't have BBQ ribs :( but they were better than what I expected. They Hennessy chicken wings are delicious I know why they say world famous. Also I ordered some onion rings, very good. They got my order right and it was hot and delicious I recommend this place to anyone who wants some good feel good food that tastes like ya mama made it.
A couple from my church was treated like dirt at this restaurant.They are an interracial couple (Black and White) and they were COMPLETELY IGNORED by the Staff and ended up walking out after no one would seat themIf your have problems with RACE or are RACISTS, then put it on your front door so everyone else knows.
Tried to support black own business but this is one I cannot. Walked thru the doors and was met by smoke. Then noticed they had B grade. Should have left then. Although the staff was friendly their presentation was unprofessional. The server had dirty nails and never made eye contact. The female who seem to be the manager/hostess had dirty clothes on that was too small. Now to the food. No desserts were made simple because the owner decided not to for this day. My turkey burger cost $12 came with only one meat, no lettuce, tomatoes, onions nothing! Even though I said I wanted all the trimming. The fries were undone and soggy. They were out of ice and their ice machine was broken. Their drink machine wasn't working and they only had can sodas. I don't drink soda! I was extremely disappointed and would never go back.
I've given you guys 3 different occasions to prove that my last experience was just a bad day but nope y'all just don't care. Everytime I've asked for the daily special it wasn't available and after this last order I feel it's only right that the world knows how terrible the service and food is! None of my orders ever looked like the pictures and the lady who was rude on 2 different occasions needs to do a refresher course with ServSafe or something. I will never come back and will tell everyone I know to never go. This place needs to new management
Honestly I had no idea that Sugar Daddies had a cafe. Im glad my brother brought me here because the food is amazing! You can tell when food has been prepared with care and intent, and this was that. May be a little of a wait, but it’s definitely worth it.
I wanted to keep my money flowing with my black Community but I was so disappointed customer service was great but the food was not my greens were super salty my macaroni and cheese was very dry I was so mad but I didn’t was it to show spending over $20 just to only eat one thing which with the shrimp . I may just need to try something else but don’t think I would go back to this place
I will say I look for black owned businesses to support. My sister was here from WA for our younger sister surgery. The morning after I find Sugar Daddy'. We walk in and are looked at without a greeting and a rather unpleasant energy by a woman. I spoke said hello she said hi and starred at us. I again initiated asking may we seat ourselves? Not one other person was inside noone she was the only employee. I only smelled syrup but pushed that out my head. We sat down and looked at the menu and waited and waited. And then we were like f it cracker barrel down the street. She never even offered us water. Soul food is our an extension bigmama
I ate here over the weekend and this by far is the worst restaurant I been to in a long time. They need to rehire a whole new staff but I’m guessing everyone is family …I love a family own business but the place is not professional at all! The customer service is horrible! The food was cold! The waitress is handling the money and the food! We ordered shrimp and grits and the waiter placed our food on the table and her thumb literally was inside the bowl literally touching the grits ??? no gloves!!! She also was handling the money! The waffles are hard! The food is not fresh! I was so disappointed! Make your own food at home…. I promise it would be better !!
I must say this is the closest to home-cooked food that I've had! All of these bad reviews I don't understand them at all! We ordered, the fried shrimp, crab legs, salmon, ribs and catfish, everything was AMAZING! The greens were soooooooo good, also the Mac n cheese was too! My family and I enjoyed the atmosphere and hospitality provided! I'd recommend Sugar Daddy's to anyone looking for some great food. Yummy!!!
The food was AMAZING! My dad said their greens were the best he'd ever had. The crab legs were cheap and were huge and delicious. Everything was fresh and seasoned perfectly. Nothing was expensive or gross, absolute perfection. DEFINITELY visit at least once!!
