Had no idea about this place. Friend took me. Omg family oriented. Food made to order. Prices for the amount of food perfect. Everything was seasoned to perfection. Must try if you want real soul food with actual soul. My new fav place. ?
My mother, daughter, and myself decided to give this place a try after reading some reviews. They lived up to the reviews. The food was great!!! We each had the 3 piece fish, 5 piece Shrimp meal with 2 sides. The Sweet Potatoes and Greens were so good. The Fish and Shrimp were fried perfectly. And I believe her name was Brenda who greeted us and took our orders, she was amazing as well. We'll definitely be visiting again our next Vegas trip.
Absolutely FIRE ???. I wanted to do this review right away. I still have fish in my teeth. Yummm. I ordered Red snapper sandwich on burger ? bun French Fries well done. All the ingredients together made it so tasty.
I asked for extra tartar sauce and was told they were 50 cent each.... here I am like okay... thinking it was the ones that came in the little to-go condiment containers... NOPE! 50 CENT EACH FOR THESE..... DO BETTER . Plus my food wasn't the best either. I haven't had it in over a year and I see why.
So I love the fish cage but I will say the only thing I really love is the fish. Oh and the banana pudding is pretty good. But an unfortunate event happened when I ordered a side of collard greens. I received my food and immediately noticed the collard greens were half cabbage. Now if I liked cabbage that wouldn’t be a problem, but I do not. And when expecting smoky collard greens and you receive something with a sweet sour taste it can be kind of upsetting. I paid 18$ for my food including tip and unfortunately I just wasn’t able to eat anything other than the fish.
Yama were way too sweet & quite watery. Fish was fresh, hot & seasoned to perfection! Hushpuppies were not homemade but frozen... very upset that peach cobbler was a day old & they tried to say it was fresh. Peaches were too "can" flavored & not cooked down at all & crust was EXTREMELY SOGGY & had the nerve to charge $6 for something that bad!!! Only gets 3 stars because of the fish
So I’m visiting from California where we are spoiled with fish markets so I found this place and let me say I’m a picky eater, but I was so pleasantly surprised I got a Catfish poboy and it was amazing so perfect I took the picture too late but also I still had a piece of catfish left to eat it was perfectly seasoned crispy I will definitely be going back and they were friendly and helpful I can say the best fish I’ve had in Vegas so far!
The red snapper was alright, but it could have used some sauce. My Daughter said her lemon pepper wings were a bit too salty for her and were a bit small.
I have to say I have been here several times and I truly enjoy everything they have. I have made it my mission in life to try everything on their menu. Absolutely fantastic place. Side note. It's not like this but one time it was an hour wait and o couldn't care less. They were completely slammed and I waited for my food with a smile. Coming back again and again.
I was recommesed to the Fish Cage when I moved to the area about a year ago. I have never had a bad experience. The fish is always delicious! The desserts are amazing! They even serve Kool-Aid (WHAT?!) All I can say is get your tastebuds ready for a treat!
