What stinks the worst about this review is the fact that I normally love Cafe Rio specifically for their food. Unfortunately, the customer service from these young workers are absoluely horrible and i believe it starts with management. Everyone in here seems unhappy and disgruntled. My boyfriend and I will not be back.!!! We gave this location the benefit of the doubt the first time around given we understand bad days happen but after giving them another try its obvious that they all must always be in an unhappy mood. Again, this review is sad for me to write because normally I love going here to eat... JUST NOT AT THIS LOCATION...
I want to like Café Rio, but it doesn't matter what location I go to, my orders always seem to get messed up. I ask for a tortilla ON THE SIDE every time I want to order a shredded chicken salad. I don't want it in the bowl because it gets soggy and I wind up throwing it away. EVERY single time. Even when I used to order through the app and specify this, it still happens, so I just deleted it and started going inside, and they still mess it up. So I can't with them anymore.
Well let's start with the good things, the place was clean, and the first gentleman started my order correctly, even though he wrapped the burrito a bit to tight and the shell tore at first it was no big deal. And that is the end of the good things. Now I get to the next person the one who puts it all together. This poor girl looked like she was just hired less than a half hour before I got there, because she looked so confused about everything. Now the customer ahead of me did have a number of items and that just made things worse for her. While she was trying to figure out what to do someone had set one of my items in the wrong place, and she proceeded to try and give it to the customer ahead of me. Even though I had tried to correct her a number of times, and the customer in front of me tried to correct her, it took the cashier to finally give me back my food so that it could be finished. Now this deer in the head lights confused girl had nothing but attitude towards me. She made it seem I was putting her out just to get some lettuce and some guacamole. Now for the cashier she wasn't much better she seemed to have forgotten that she had fixed a mistake for me because she just stood there and stared at me. When she finally realized that there was food sitting there under the a/c she asked if it was mine. I said yes those are mine sitting the getting cold. Now she did offer to reheat them not thinking about the toppings on them that you just can't warm up. So needless to say by the time I got home some 10 minutes later our food was barely warm. My dinner sat there under the a/c longer than it took to drive home.It's really sad we used to enjoy going to this restaurant but after this last time I won't be spending anymore more money with them, the food is good but not for the price. An extra 2 dollar's just for a little sauce and lettuce is ridiculous. All because you change from a burrito to an enchilada it cost more money.
Love, love, love the food I would normally get the chicken quesadilla (quesadillas are the bomb) but when I saw the pork Barbacoa I wanted to try that, though it was awesome, it had too much juice in it I couldn't even pick it up to eat. I will get it again maybe not so much juice next time. I will be back though.
I know this is Vegas. And the service industry here has a reputation for a terrible work ethic. So, unfortunately, I go to restaurants expecting employees to be lazy.But it's another thing entirely for the employees to intentionally neglect customers for absolutely no reason. ESPECIALLY if there aren't any other customers in the store.Management shouldn't be borderline inept. Yet I'm having to sit here and watch literally EVERY employee so absolutely NO sense of urgency.All of this for a takeout order that should've already been prepared when I got here.
The food is good but this is the 3rd time I come in a month and they're only taking cash. What an inconvenience. I rarely carry cash because I hate having coins everywhere. Management needs to get it together. You're losing alot of business.
Bought the food for someone else & it wasn’t prepared properly so I brought it back & asked for a refund. I paid $18.92 but only got $12.46 after the girl found my order that I placed less than an hour before coming back. I just left because I didn’t want to argue after the worker stated they couldn’t take food back and throw it away because of covid which doesn’t make sense because food places are not allowed to take food back but it has nothing to do with covid
Cafe Rio charges so much for a meal. And gives you a side of rice and beans in the same container that they give you, your side of sauce. I asked the manager was this correct she said yes we changed are servings to one scoop. Like ma’am that’s a spoon full not a scoop. For the price and serving I rather go to chipotle for this foolishness.
Come here super regularly and love it! Never get tired from it. Staff is overall amazing. Love the manager as well!
Have ordered from this cafe rio before cause its a little closer to my house but started going to the location on sahara cause it never fails. My order is always wrong or missing items. Sure enough went in there to pick up my online order and of course i had to wait cause they were still getting it together. Finally my order was done as the young lady hands me my bag i ask her is everything in there? She tells me Yes. I tell her perfect but something told me look just cause its happened before and sure there wasnt no chips and queso and 2 niños were missing from my order . Check your order cause they always mess up .
