Having recently stayed for one week this hotel definitely has its pros and cons... Pros - any staff we met were absolutely lovely and very helpful. We had initially been allocated a pyramid room and the air con was not working, after speaking to reception we were upgraded to a tower room with the hotels apologies. We had another issue with the toilet in the tower room and when maintenance arrived the following morning they kindly gave us a voucher to use. However, if the overflowing of our toilet had not have been bubbles I would not have been happy to wait for assistance. The pool area is tidy and clean. Safes are available in room. Food is good in the Public House and pyramid cafe. Casino is good with everything you need. Cons - the area around the hotel can be a bit scary at night as there aren't many people around. We found it better to go through the Excalibur to get to the strip. Rooms are not cleaned every day, the beds are made and towels changed but not cleaned. Our shower was badly marked from previous occupants and the carpet was also dirty. There was old fruit cups in the drawers of our upgraded tower room. There are no fridges in rooms which means frequent trips to the shop for cold water. Drinks are very expensive from the pool bar even by strip standards. Unless you pay for a cabana or day bed/lounger you cannot find shade at the pool. It would be good if parasols were available for renting or available with every other lounger at the pool. It's much too hot to only allow a parasol/shade to be available by paying 165 dollars plus for the day. Resort fees and a 200 dollar deposit taken upon arrival. In my personal opinion this is a bit much. We had an overall good stay but we'd probably stay further up the strip next time especially if I was coming with a group of girls. This is personal preference though. Rooms are definitely in need of an upgrade too. But staff as I said were very helpful.
The luxor buffet had a nice selection of food but the quality was very poor. I've been to a lot of buffets and I hate to say this may be the worse buffet I've ever had. The price point of $29.99 for lunch is no where near the value. The pancakes were very dry and hard. The pizza was very bad. I don't know how you can make pizza bad??? I took one bit and threw in the towel. My 9 year old even would not eat it. At the carving station I tried the roast beef and turkey they were very dry and flavor was not good. They over season with herbs. Some of the items were untouchable burnt and dried out. The 1 thing that I did enjoy was the potatoes. They were very flavorful.
I am extremely satisfied with all the help mrs Rebecca Wayne rendered me every step of the way. They have a good understanding of all the processes and are always receptive to my needs. The platform were very helpful. I strongly recommend this wonderful manager of mine, she perform a great work and strategy on my investment, and now i'm earning profits every week just because of mrs Rebecca Wayne effort and trust, thank you madam for this opportunity of investing with your platform i'm so much grateful, please contact her for legit investment. Fab hotel upgraded without asking and complimentary champagne to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Que was long at check in but staff were doing their best. Great impression so far. Room is lovely
We have been to the buffet at Luxor many times and it has always been good for the price. This time I wish we would have gone somewhere else. The quality of the food was not that good at all no flavor and dried out, very disappointing compared to years past. Not sure if they are just trying to make a fast buck to make up for time lost from being closed. I know that I will not be going back.
We were treated well by staff and they were attentive and pleasant. You'll find tons of variety but you'll probably only like half of what you take. Some items were really good while others were just a step above inedible. The turkey at the carving station was VERY GOOD! Cashier told us our price included unlimited Mimosa's when we purchased our meal. We found out it is not included. It wasn't a huge ordeal because we were going to go to the buffet regardless but just be aware unlimited Mimosa's are an extra charge.
This buffet has about everything. The food was good (not great, but good). The hours vary so this made it difficult when you didn't know they closed at 3 on some days. It was only open Wednesday through Sunday. I felt the price was a bit high, $65 for two.
Surprisingly great food and very clean...I would have given it 4 stars, but the price is outrageous. I have a higher MGM rewards status, and get a discount, but it is still to high.
They have an awesome selection of food and the workers where on point with assisting you. I loved that you could have sushi for breakfast!
We came here for breakfast, as we walked in we couldn’t believe how much food was on offer from cooked food, cereal, fruit, deserts ect. But when we went up to get the food it was a lot of the same foods just spread around, there was still a fair amount of variety though. The food wasn’t too bad, obviously not the quality you’d expect from a proper restaurant but as far as buffet quality goes it wasn’t bad.
