If you choose to eat here, be aware that employees use their bare hands to snack on the same food being served to customers. While waiting in line, I saw the bartender use his bare hands to grab and eat a chip. When I asked him about it he simply said, “I just took one,” not even realizing how unsanitary and disgusting it was. I lost my appetite and didn’t even want to order after that.
It’s consistently delicious year after year and the people are always friendly.
We stopped at this local spot for street tacos. Since it was Taco Tuesday, chicken & pork tacos were $2 each. Not a bad deal. The portions were traditional sizes. The chicken taco was pretty spicy though even with taking off some of the toppings. My salsa alternative had a pineapple base. Very different but it worked. The Mexican corn on the cob was decent but they did not clean the corn very well. You can get a lot of food for under $20 pp. Good for families and lunch breaks. They have seating downstairs and upstairs. Water is free if charge and they have a full bar next to the cashier.
We visited on a Tuesday and shared an order of 4 al pastor tacos. No longer do you stand in line at a station, apparently do to the pandemic you order/ pay at the counter and the order is brought to the table. There is a salsa bar that you will likely visit. Overall the tacos were pretty good though we were disappointed to discover there was no taco Tuesday pricing.
Absolutely love this place. We drove 22 miles just to have lunch here, it's just that good!!
We did a large catering order for 250 people. We ordered 8 trays of meat at $100 each + chips. We ran out of tortillas and had 4 trays of meat left over. We called and were told we were not given the right amount of tortillas and manager would call us. Before we placed the catering order we were told - a tray serves 30 (a serving is 3 tortillas per person). We did not serve 250 people and had 4 trays of meat left over and no tortillas or sides to serve anymore people. After speaking with the manager, she said she could do nothing about it (except $40) because she could not confirm that we were not eating the tortillas alone or doubling up. If we had to serve 250 people, why would we double up or allow people to eat tortillas alone? It makes no sense.Obviously, someone miscalculated and didn't send enough.Won't be supporting this business again!
The tacos were good. Al pastor is on the sweet side. Chorizo was good. Recommend trying this place out.
Another really good restaurant that has fallen victim to pandemic woes. This used to be the only place I came to for barbacoa but the restaurant is different now.I ordered 2 barbacoa tacos and a pineapple margarita. The marg and bar service were incredible (would be 3 stars without it). However the tacos were lukewarm and basically slathered in salt/seasoning free guac. Everything was bland and half hearted. So disappointing but I’m hoping they improve as time goes on.
Absolutely incredible food!!!
The Best tacos around! Highly recommended
