terrible place i wouldn't recommend this place look else where !! im sure you can find great sushi at yama sushi right down the street
We were just passing while looking for a place to have dinner. We just happened to pass by this place and decided to eat there. The service was great and very hospitable. The food was delicious!
Very good. I will definitely be coming back. I used the Groupon I bought last month.
Super yummy and super sweet service! Excellent choice for all you can eat sushi. Plus some really fun seasonal options!! And they even bring you half rolls!!! Most Def will be back!
MUST READ!! MANAGEMENT CHANGED!! And, with it, the quality of the food and presentation... Will not be coming back here again, sadly. My family and I dined at Sushi Ya two months ago and had THE BEST experience of any sushi restaurant we've ever been to — literally! We're very experienced when it comes to knowing the quality of sushi and its presentation — from how the sushi should be rolled to how the particular meals should taste. Sadly, that experience changed immensely when we came in the other day and found out that the management changed a month ago. The restaurant is in new hands now and we immediately noticed the negative changes that have taken effect...First, the tea. When we came a month ago, the tea was the best that we had EVER had in ANY sushi restaurant! It was a green tea made from actual tea leaves. It was so good, one of my guests asked the server for the distributor's name so she could order the tea herself to drink at home! This time, however, the tea tasted like water. Very thin. Hardly any taste. Very poor quality. And you could see a "powder" at the bottom of the glass, which indicated to us that tea bags were used — a much cheaper alternative to tea leaves. Picture below.Second, the sushi was rolled terribly. We ordered the same rolls as last time and were very disappointed with the presentation now... The rice was already falling off the roll when it was placed on our table and you could clearly see the seaweed underneath it, which should be completely covered in white rice. WOW. Very sloppy job. See second picture below. This indicated to us that the chefs in the back didn't know how to properly roll them. Rolling is a tradition that takes up to 3 years to master — no joke! The new management booted out the old chefs (who knew what they were doing) and hired new chefs that don't have adequate experience — again, as a cost-saving measure.Third, even the quality of the straws in our drink glasses and the quality of the take-out boxes was evident. Flimsy and cheap. Again, big difference from what we used last time. One of my guests is not adept with chopsticks, so she requested a fork and was given a PLASTIC fork! They don't even have stainless steel utensils like they did last time. WOW. Folks, these little details matter. The new management's cost-saving measures equals cheaper quality which, in turn, leads to a worse experience.Fourth, the restaurant hired completely new servers. Not sure where the old servers went, but I'm sure the new management fired them — again, for cost-saving measures.Fifth, all of the above goes without saying that the meals tasted completely different from last time. From the salmon skin salad to the teriyaki chicken. Not the same ingredients and definitely not the same preparation as before...Ultimately, our experience was upsetting, especially compared to how stellar the quality of the food and presentation was two months ago to now when the management changed. Night and day difference. The new management's cost-saving measures say everything... Sadly, we will not be coming back here again and advise our friends (and you, the reader) to not eat here in the future because of the above.
I and my wife/kids had dinner here on Dec29/2021. Super yummy and perfect service! Really thanks a young lady‘s patient service. She reminded us my younger kid is too young maybe we can consider not order “all you can eat” for him. No doubt, we will visit again !
Good food. Our waitress Christine was very attentive, recommended her favorite "Screaming O". The two star off is for the long wait between dishes and for the reason that they limit one "Hamachi" order per person. Which is confusing since it's an eat-all-you-can for one price menu. They are obviously understaffed and kudos to the hardworking servers. But overall a great place to dine if you're not too hungry. We ended up at this place by accident, but it was good. Would still go back.
food was delish, everything was fresh and tasty; though the servers weren't aware of which rolls were which. We did have a large party of 11, so I know that's tough. Music was a little loud, but i also think we were right under the speakers ?♀️. minor details, but would def go back!
I ate here when it used to be Jjanga a few years back and had some great meals. Unfortunately while the rolls are visually pleasing, was a bit let down by the taste.Food/Taste/Flavor: 3/5 - we ordered the rolls to go and all the sauces were provided in containers. The spicy garlic ponzu sauce had a great kick and was our favorite sauce.- Something Wrong from the shrimp tempura rolls was the favorite roll overall. The spicy crab was a great contrast to the mild sweetness from the shrimp tempura.- Bunny & Bonny from the spicy rolls had some deep fried shredded carrots on top. It had the thinnest slices of fish on top but the roll still tasted okay.- Grand Canyon is a baked roll which was a disappointment. It was a California roll in a white runny sauce with some shrimp, scallop, mushroom, and onion on the foil paper on top of it. There was no masago nor rice cake as advertised- Vegas which is a deep fried roll was average. The white liquid from the Grand Canyon made it a bit soggy. The taste of the fish was covered by the oil and the avocado was the tiniest piece everAmbience: NA - took the food to go but some nice decoration insideService: 3/5 - cashier was nice but felt like he was in a rush as he did keep asking if we were ready to order as we sat by the register to look at the menu. We were there at around 3:30 PM on a weekday so it was quiet so his question wasn't because there was a huge lineValue for price: 3/5 - rolls were mediocre and the slices of fish were small. Considering AYCE was $29, the rolls were surprisingly pricy at $54.
Sushi was okay, french fries were amazing and everything was hot and fresh. I wouldnt get the 'all you can eat' again though
