The folks working at the Soul Food Cafe were very nice and friendly. The food overall was tasty. The corn bread was not good at all. The smothered pork chop was good, All the sides were good as well. Food was decent the $7.77 Large Iced Tea was hard to swallow. Lunch for myself and my wife with a $5.00 tip totaled $60.00. We are just visiting Vegas. Willie Moore Moorerods
I just picked up food from here and I honestly haven’t even tasted it yet. I’m writing this review because they wanted to charge me $7.99 PLUS tax for a drink. Yup $7.99 for a Lemonade \\u0026 Kool-Aid mix (Sugar daddy as they call it) A JOKE!
Im here from Texas so I KNOW what soul food should taste like. It wasn't bad at all. I actually liked everything except the prices, mac and cheese....oh and please take the fried rice off the menu, other than that it was nice....Teddy and his wife were so sweet to us.....so yeah whenever I come back I'll definitely be visiting again.....Thanks Yall.
Food was not bad, but way too over priced. And they were out of chitterlings, even though they advertise they’re available on the weekend only, which is when I went. Saving grace is the corn cakes; if I return that is all I’ll be getting.
Dry red snapper fish. Small portion. Greens were mediocre. Cabbage was bland. I threw it out. Cash or cash app only. The music was so loud I could not hear the cashier. Maybe it was just an off day. $20+ for \\\"lunch.\\\" One piece of fish and 2 sides. They were nice and the food was hot. I would give it another chance if I'm in town again.
This place definitely has some potential. Food was pretty good. I had the smothered steak and gravy with rice and cabbage. The cabbage was a little stale and I feel like they cut corners on the steak, it was diced up into tiny cubes. The price of the food was a little high and customer service was just “OK”. Bathrooms and restaurant itself could use a deep clean. I do understand Covid has made it difficult for some of our local restaurants to survive so I really hope these guys can make some improvements in the areas mentioned above.
Yea definitely over priced for small fish nuggets that they call fish, straight rip offs, don't come here!! Be aware
So the food is really good...I was shocked about how good it was ... living in the South I didn't expect our food to be so tasty. The catfish was fried perfectly but it was definitely frozen and not fresh. The sweet tea tasted like lemon Kool aid had been mixed in... I didn't like that at all.No refill on drinks and for a family of 4 we paid $100 during lunch...drinks alone are $3.69.Pricey for soul food but I definitely recommend this place. It's always awesome to support black owned businesses!
Love soul food but would never support this establishment based on the staff behavior. Very rude and unprofessional to say the least!I'm not sure how they have managed to hold an "A" rating as filthy as the ceiling and floors were. Caked on grease stuck to everything. Lastly, people working in the front handling cash should not be interacting with food unless its in containers and ready to be handled to the customers.
Customer service was very friendly and really didn't have to wait that long for my takeout...
