Don't know a thing about Ethiopian food so really can't judge authenticity or taste. Over the years I can count on 5 fingers that I've eaten Ethiopian food.Anyway always enjoy the experience and the injera bread--slightly sour fermented pancake like bread. Not expert in using injera to grab food like the locals, but manageable. The meat combo though much of it was unidentifiable, they were plenty and left over to take home.Alcohol tea was very strong too
Horrible waiting time. If you don’t have any job in life and all the time in hand you can go there. Music is so loud and high is not the case in many Ethiopian restaurants I have visited. I have asked for tilapia fish Curry turned out to be meat in that which I don’t do. So I could not even eat the food and had t share food from friends plate. We wanted to explore good food but this turned out to be nightmare
As an Ethiopian, when I travel I always to have Ethiopians food, and in my recent visit to Las Vegas I was at Lucy Ethiopian Restaurant and I had the best, testy Ethiopian cousin I had for a long time, I highly recommend this place for anyone who wants to have a great food! The place is so clean and there serves is unparalleled! They are very friendly and not a long wait until you get your WOW food!
Pros:Food was really good. I took few of my friends who never tried Ethiopian food and they all liked it after eating.Ambience was decent.Staff were helpful and polite.
I love Lucy’s. I am a plant based vegan, it is so nice to be able to go to a restaurant and know there will be good food for me to eat. I have had shiro, the veggie combo and misir wot and my husband loves the doro wot. The food is deliciously spicy. We always enjoy our meals here. The service is lovely. Sometimes we eat in, sometimes we get takeout.
Plan on a food adventure here. All the dishes are native to Ethiopia. You eat with your fingers. The waitstaff are all from Ethiopia and speak limited English. The bread is very good and very authentic. Dishes run from mild to spicy. Try it if you want something out of the norm.
Service is on the slower side but the food is definitely worth the wait. We went with the meat combo and it's a great option if you have multiple people as the price is reasonable and the portion is large enough for 4 people. I was allowed to order the Ethiopian coffee even though we came after the hours it's served. Definitely worth dropping by.
Got the veggie combo. I think it was meant to serve 4 people, which explains the price. The food was not seasoned much but still good. My preference is spicy. They do charge $4 for ToGo containers so be aware of that upcharge.
One of the best Ethiopian restaurants we have experienced.
Great ethiopian food with incredible flavors. I'll go there again. The restaurant is very clean and nicely decorated. There's lots of room inside. Good acoustics and atmosphere.
