Hawaiian BBQ! The pork dishes here were fantastic. It was our first time, and they actually gave us samples of the pork. The staff was super friendly and explained how the restaurant actually began in Hawaii. Everything we tried was a hit. I highly recommend Kono's Northshore if you're looking for something a little different than your average fare.
Ordered a bowl; is ALL rice. The pork lacked flavor and it was very dry, and the slaw had no seasoning nor vinegar. They gave me one little cup of BBQ sauce, which was not enough to remedy the dryness! And since when is guava an Hawaiian fruit? It's NOT! It's Cuban/Latin American.I do not recommend this place.
We were in Vegas on a trip and were so excited to visit this location for a taste of our favorite place in Hawaii. We feel in love with Konos in Haleiwa and this local did not disappoint! The food was great and the employees were above and beyond amazing and so sweet. They were fantastic to our children. As business owners we understand it’s hard to find exceptional employees and this place has several. Thank you for the experience
My husband and I went to this place when we were visiting the Hawaiian island of Oahu - it was great there, and we were SO stoked to find it here in Vegas! Many of their dishes feature slow roasted pork (I think it's roasted for either 12 or 24 hours) and it is soooooooo good!!! You must try if you're looking for authentic Hawaiian food and great service!
So first time in was greeted by an awesome guy named Pete super friendly and welcoming. First impressions was the restaurant is very clean and sanity. Now the food is super delicious but kinda pricey for the portions you receive.
Omg!!!! Best service!!! Best Kailua pork I’ve ever had worth the trip to get to it! Atmosphere is warm and inviting, if you’ve ever been to Hawaii you know how Hawaiian people have a warm feeling you get from them, well this place gives you that in spades!! Would recommend a million percent!!! Bailey is a true Rockstar, first time we went he was front of house second time he was the chef!!
Wow, great spot to tuck away and relax, eat good food, while listening to ? music!!!I was totally surprised by the inviting vibes and spacious layout inside this place! This restaurant had caught my eye before - on my way to Trader Joe's - but I wasn't aware it was a well-known Hawaiian restaurant. Unfortunately, I have never visited Hawai'i (yet) but I 'really' enjoy the fact that I could get a taste right here in Vegas ?Food: I ordered 'Pig on Grass' - tender, moist, flavorful Kalua pig (...my first time having it), fresh salad, tastey sauce and dressingService: Kai was 'spectacular'on explaining the menu and welcoming us ?Cons: I would appreciate bigger 'plates' for the menu prices, and for sriracha bottles to be filled ?.Regardless, my son and I will definitely be back to try something new on the menu each time we visit, and also say 'hi' to staff. ? I wish them great successes.~ Thanks for the trip to Hawai'i ??
In A Nutshell:-This Kono's North Shore just opened up in Vegas.-It's the 1st mainland restaurant to open outside of Da Islands.-This was the same building the old Cinnamon's (another Hawaiian chain) occupied, so it's only fitting that we have some more aloha there.-The Kahlua Pork Plate was so tender & tasty.-I enjoyed the world-class flavor, plus the salad paired perfectly.-They also sell some cool merch i.e. coffee mugs & t-shirts.Overall, I highly recommend you come here for real authentic Hawaiian food!
Great food and service! I tried their Kailua sliders and it was delicious. The pork was cooked perfectly and the guava bbq complimented it well. I ordered online and they were quick to make the food without compromising quality.
Really delicious food! Friendly service. Can’t wait to go back.
