At first I was a bit skeptical…what a great surprise. Food was delicious and hostess was very kind. A great place to eat well off the strip.
If you are in Las Vegas and like bbq this is the place to visit the food and staff are amazing. The price is such good value and highly recommended. We had the maniac fries and ribs. Meat is tender, flavoursome and juicy. The ribs just fall of the bone and the sauces they make are delicious especially the god sauce and white sauce.
Amazing “hole in the wall” local spot. The Fortress was an amazing amount of meat. Great service and hospitality.
I saw this place on Food Paradise and thought to try it. Flavor was good!! meat was cold and not very tender, very expensive for cold food.
Met a friend here for a late lunch. Even at 2 pm on a Tuesday there was a 15 minute wait for a table. Absolutely worth the wait! Ordered the 3 Meat Platter for $23.50. Brisket, pulled pork and pork ribs with Las Vegas slaw. Also - ordered a side of mac & cheese ($3.50). Everything was good, but did feel like the mac n cheese needed more salt. Small, very casual restaurant. Looks a bit iffy from the outside, but SO good.
Oh. My. Gosh! We were in BBQ heaven!! It was so worth the $10 Uber ride from our hotel to get there. You pull up and wonder if you make a mistake - it's definitely a hole-in-the-wall type of place. We had an early dinner at around 5:00pm and didn't have to wait at all for a table. We ordered the Fortress which is a circle of ribs, filled with waffle fries, mac and cheese and brisket. The menu says it will feed 2 but it will actually feed more like 3-4!! It was soooo delicious but my husband and I simply couldn't finish it all! The brisket was seriously in the top 3 that I have ever tasted in my life! It literally melted in our mouths. We will definitely be back the next time we're in Vegas!
This was recommended to me from a former visitor. We took a cab as it is quite a way from the Strip. It is a small shop front in the most unexpected location (don't expect plush surroundings and scenic views). We didn't book and we lucky to get a table. There are only around 5 or 6 tables in the whole place. It seems to mostly be a take away. Having said that, the food portions were incredible. We had the two meat dish and for most people, I suspect one would be enough. The brisket was amazing as was the pulled pork and ribs. It's very informal, but inexpensive and good value for money. Oh and it closes early so don't get there any later than 5-6pm.
Well Yelp, you failed me on this one.. Unfortunately my kids and I did not have a good experience. We were on our way to a Knights game and decided to veer away from our BBQ spot and try what people had been talking about being "the best" in Vegas.. Not sure if we had an off night but wow was it underwhelming. The smell coming from the smoker was fantastic so we thought we had a winner. Unfortunately what we got was meat that vaguely tasted like BBQ. We ordered the chicken and pulled pork along with the Mac n Cheese. All of which were pretty below average. Best thing about our meal was the Fries, needless to say we wont be back. Employees: Extremely nice and helpful Seating: Near non existent tiny place with maybe 5 or 6 tables Price: Expensive even for BBQ Portions: Average Flavor: Not Great, BBQ sauces also not great and no variety, All meats were dry or overcooked Tips: Go to Rollin Smoke BBQ instead
Unrivalled BBQ just a few mins in the car outside vegas. We went for the Fortress and were not disappointed in the least. The brisket on the top was another level. I would have given this place 5 stars but for the toilets. They really need to invest into getting them sorted.. As for a takeaway I would highly recommend it.
Ordered 1/2 Baby Back Ribs and a Brisket Sandwich Nobody said there’s no baby back ribs and they sent some fatty pork ribs smothered with prebought BarbQue sauce .Vaby Back Ribs is on the board though!The Brisket Sandwich was dry and overall a poor experience.I donated the Ribs to my security guard at my complex and now heading for a real barbecue!
