Island Flavor located on Durango and Windmill is your typical neighborhood Hawaiian eatery. The restaurant was clean, spacious, and decorated Hawaiian-style! The menu included your island dishes. On this visit, I tried the short rib fried rice, which was absolutely delicious. It was a huge plate of rice that could probably feed a family of 4. I literally ate from this rice for 3 days in a row.My friend had the combination plate with the Furikake fired chicken and teriyaki steak. Like most Hawaiian places, the mixed plate came with white rice, macaroni salad, and cabbage salad. It looked quite delicious.I can't wait to visit again.

Lots of menu choices and everything was prepared fresh when we ordered. (We got take out). Good sized portions and ono flavor. Excellent!

The flavor of the Teriyaki steak in the mixed plate was perfect, the chicken was a little bland. Sucks it was so little also. I saw the ads on instagram constantly popping up, so I had been dying to go. I drove over from North Las Vegas. The Lumpias were pretty good. My biggest complaint was the amount of pork in my pork fried rice. I had to literally LOOK for the meat. All the plates in the pictures look so full and flavorful... maybe the key is to dine in instead of To-go.. might return if I'm in the area. But I won't make another special trip.

I had lunch at this restaurant with my wife. The menu looked promising, but the actual meals were disappointing. The pot stickers were OK. The oxtail soup was what brought us to that restaurant after seeing pictures on IG. It was flavorful but there was no eatable meat in it, just the bones and at $18 I found it waaaaaay overpriced for basically a small portion of broth. The Kailua pig was just bad. We shared the plate as they do serve generous portions but neither my wife nor I did find it any good. It just dry, cooked pork, lacking the smoky flavor we’re used to. Unfortunately this was not a great find…

This is my second time here and I must say I’m extremely disappointed. I just ordered five plate lunches for my whole office for lunch today. I ordered a mixed plate because I heard that the Korean chicken is the bomb. I got one piece of chicken and this is how my plate came out as a mix plate for $17. I called the restaurant because I was a little irritated and their options are you can come back and they will remake the plate for you and you have to bring the plate back or you can come back and bring them the plate and then they will refund you. So if you were far already your out of luck lol. Terrible customer service. So they rather you post and review them low then just do what is right. Seems a little ridiculous. I’m very disappointed. I don’t think I would recommend this place to anyone especially being a local girl from Hawaii

I have been craving fried saimin and it hit the spot!! My mom got the roast pork. It came with a lot of meat. Most pieces were nice and tender but a couple pieces were tough. I suspect those were end pieces so my mom just moved them to the side. The server was so nice and brought my mom more gravy. I also asked the server what kind of napples did they have and she knew immediately I was talking about the turnovers...she won me over! I got the guava/cream cheese one - sorry no picture, but it was soooooo ONO!!

Love the food. Great taste and great costumer service. Problem the best Hawaiian food spot in or around Vegas. Gotta give it a try

Great service with great Hawaiian food. A must try for local Hawaiian food in the desert.

The grind was break yur mouth good. Jami was a sweetheart. I tipped 30%.

Went in for a quick bite 'cause it's in the area and my Chinese place is closed on Tuesdays. Ordered the "special" Garlic Chicken. Hard to go wrong, right? Shoulda known when I got home and opened the box that something was amiss....enough food (meat) in there tofeed 4 people. Took a bite of it and immediately knew why. This stuff was SO SALTY that I could barely swallow it! Tossed the entire meal. ?. Maybe they were trying to get rid of it?? Never again.
