We attended a family wedding, not booked by us but happy to be there as had been in Fremont and Hennessy's previously. To be honest, would have thought that the 'reception room' should have had a few decorations (ribbons, balloons, flowers, place settings, coloured napkins, table confetti, music, lights as a minimal suggestion!) Food was OK, service adequate - one server for 25 guests - but had to chase up drinks and additional requests. Was grand, but would check for extra to make it special if doing it again ?
If I could just review our waitress, it would be a 5, the location a 4, the food 3, the band/atmosphere a 1. Sat on the patio on Fremont on a perfect night. Food came out quick and was okay. The place was very slow...the inside was empty and the patio was half full. I will say that the empty inside may be because they had a "band" inside that was terrible - and LOUD!! They were just bad, in general, but the drummer was beating the snare drum like it ruined his life. I was tough just to walk through to get to the restrooms. Our server was absolutely amazing!!! I would not go back and can't recommend to others.
If I could give a half star I would. We thought this would be a great spot for food while on Freemont. It took 30 minutes for our appetizers of potato strips with melted cheese. When brought out they clearly had been in the window for a while as the plate was on fire. Then we ordered grilled cheese and soup that was of course brought out 2 minutes after our app. Also had been sitting in the window so long that the one side of the bread was soggy and the other rock hard. Servers sitting around on their phones instead of table touches and service. There was maybe 3 tables in the restaurant. Asked for a manager who sad he would have our sandwiches remade. It’s been 15 minutes we finally got our new food that I would give 3. Manager never returned to our table. Also floors are very dirty. Positive they did give us money off after we discussed it.
Stopped in for drinks after dinner. Our server was awesome! Super fast and friendly, brought us several rounds of beers and picklebacks. Great place to finish the evening.
We got married Down the street from this place at the Bliss Chapel And my now wife contacted this place months in advance, they were very communicative and she talk to a guy named Chris who worked everything out for an after party type reception. They did a phenomenal job. The appetizers they put out for our guests were perfect, we had Buffalo wings, sliders, Mac and cheese bites everybody loved the food. The bartenders were great serving up excellent drinks and went above and beyond for us. I highly recommend if you have a similar event or any event, private room, private bartenders and 5 star service. Thank you Hennessy's and Chris for making our wedding night one to remember. I do have pics and videos but we got a bit wild so I will leave them out of this review. ?
Hennessey's has a great variety of foods to choose from. Love the breakfast options. Fun, inexpensive drinks. Beautiful waitresses! Great atmosphere from the open deck area. Fun place for couples, friends and family to celebrate.
Great spot for lunch or dinner at a reasonable price. We even got to sit outside and people watch. Food was surprisingly amazing! We got the club and Irish potatoes and though it is hard to screw up a club, they managed to make it taste amazing with bacon and extra avocado. The 6 dollar vodka lemonades are a no Brainer so just get one!
Our food was excellent. We had burgers , onion rings and a great dessert. The waitress was friendly and very attentive. Great service
Waitress was amazing, fast at taking orders and keeping our drinks full, however, the place was not busy at all and the food took a while (45 mins) to get out to us. I ordered my steak medium, this is what I was served, with a side of hair. I was so tired didnt even want to fuss about. I showed it to the waitress after we paid out the check. She was sincere.
Had a wonderful time slipping in for the happy hour. Alex our server quickly put in our order with only five minutes to go and was a gem of a server the whole evening. Food was so good I forgot to take pictures. Especially the seared ahi appetizer. Fabulous. It was like twice the ahi steak meat of the average seared ahi appetizer and only six dollars at happy hour. Amazing. Definitely worth checking out.
