Great place to get that creamy yummy homemade feel ice cream! It’s a take to go place so there’s no place to dine in but there’s benches outside. I had an ice cold creamy pecan praline that was heavenly and soft with just enough crunchy pecans. Hubby got himself the blue monster which was a lighter blue than the photos but he enjoyed it. The blue is a mystery so we’ll keep it a mystery for now. We found a coupon online under Valpack for 2 waffle cones single scoop for $7.50 and they were quite generous with the scoops. I’ll be going back again soon
The store looks old-fashioned and I expected something simple yet good old-fashioned real ice cream.A guy was taking our orders and making them. He was very nice.I ordered 4 sample scoops, vanilla, pistachio, strawberry, and chocolate almond flavors, and they were not good at all!Basically, they are very low-quality ice cream. I couldn’t taste cream period. It was simply low-quality, sugary goo. They probably use gum or some strange ingredients to make the creaminess.The strawberry, pistachio, chocolate flavors, and colors are all imitations.So little bit of pistachio and almond pieces which are also flavorless.The prices are good but now I know why. They are not spending on quality ingredients.
So glad we found this place. It's become our go to ice cream spot. Best ice cream around. All freshly made on site. Bring your appetite because the portions are large. Can't decide on a flavor? Try the 4 scoop sampler for about the same price as a single cone.

One of the best ice cream shop near by our place. I have been here before but never did a review. This place needs to be recognized for their friendly and efficient staff. The line can get a little long sometimes but the staff are good taking care of their customers. I ordered an extra think vanilla milk shake this time instead of my normal scoop order. I saw how much vanilla ice creams and vanilla extract they put to make my milk shake the thickest I’ve ever had. It was yummy, my husband had a vanilla ice cream sandwich. That is also a very good tasting ice cream sandwich.
Vegas is lucky to have this world-class ice cream tucked away on the far west end of the city for the locals to enjoy. If this place was on the strip the lines would stretch to the airport. There are so many tasty, creamy flavors here that I highly recommend the sampler. Handel’s lives by their promise and “never skimp.”
***BEWARE*** Handles closes earlier than the hours that are posted on google and their website. I wouldn't want people to waste their time like I did on 2/19/22. The hours posted are from 11am-9:00pm, but they could change. How a customer would know what time they close the line I don't know. I guess whenever they want too. I drove 20 minutes to get ice cream at Handles. I arrived st 8:40pm to be turned away. They closed the line before the ice cream shop hours that are posted. An employee told me I needed to value their time. That they need to help all the customers in line by 9pm when they get off. I was under the impression that a business allowed and wanted people to visit their business until closing time. That you serve those that get there before the businesses closing hours. In my opinion this was handled with terrible customer service. I will not be back for back for awhile. I will also let everyone that I know how this was handled. My time didn't matter to them! If I would have had any idea I wouldn't have driven this far. Seems like there should be a different closing system put into place.
Great flavors but I'm docking a star for portion size. I've eaten at other locations and the portions are significantly larger. These were notably small and one of our orders was given to the wrong person and we got hassled about it. They ultimately remade it but we thought for a moment that they were going to try and charge us to remake it. If the flavors hadn't been so strong, I would have given one or two less stars for the overall experience.
Omg this is the best homemade, made fresh daily ice cream that you will have. I am obsessed with the black raspberry ice cream. It is so good that I couldn’t settle for anything less than a pint next time it will be a quart. It is worth the 20 minute drive.
As advertised it had the best quality ice cream I had tasted anywhere. We will be back for sure!
