Don’t write reviews anymore, after I was disappointed with one restaurant that I wrote from the heart, ended up heartbroken in less than a year. Anyway, this restaurant is so amazing that I am compelled to write this review. The quality of the ingredients is incredible. So much so that I ordered the same food again, via Uber Eats. One can tell, if the owner of a restaurant works hard and take pride in what they serve. I say bravo! Keep it up.Don’t break my heart, Habesha Restaurant. I used to manage a restaurant, and we had to retrain our cooks every few months, just to keep the standard at the right standard. I hope you do too. Thanks. Truly impressed.
I ordered through Grubhub and arrived when the restaurant communicated with Grubhub that my food was ready. The restaurant says that they're open 24/7 online but they had a closing time posted on their front door. I didnt think much of it because I came 2 hours before they apparently were closing. When I entered the restaurant to pick up my order, I immediately got mean mugs from the workers and guys smoking hookahs by the bar. I told the bartender that I was picking up a to-go order that I placed. She rolled her eyes and went to the back. When she came back, she told me that there were no orders placed. I then told her my name and details of my order. She gave me a blank stare. So I showed her my order on the Grubhub app and that it stated my order was ready. She rolled her eyes again and told me they were closed. All the while, I continued to get mean mugged by the other workers while the guys smoking their hookahs grilled me and looked me up and down. I was never apologized to for the inconvenience or offered a refund. And I was never rude, loud or belligerent. I remained calm and polite so it was weird that they were so rude and dismissive of me. I had to file a complaint through Grubhub to get my money back. I love Ethiopian food and have never had an experience like this at an Ethiopian restaurant. If you're closed, maybe you shouldn't post on the internet that your operating hours are 24/7. Plus, everyone in the restaurant at the time, including the guys smoking hookahs were Ethiopian. I got the impression that they don't like African Americans. Horrible service!
This place is a joke. The place says Habesha restaurant but they are extremely racist towards amaharic language speaker. As we came in we were might with lady and we spoke with her in Amharic and her whole face changed. The lady wouldn’t even acknowledge our “thank you’s”; it’s like she was forced to serve us. We came to eat and enjoy our day not associate with politics. Truly disgusting behavior, Idk what you get out of it being completely disgusting person.
We got the vegetarian combination plate which came with several different types of lentles, some cabbage, collard greens and salad along with injira, the teff pancake. We also got the lentle sambusa. Everything was OK. The waitress was very engaging, kind, friendly and attentive and made the experience memorable.
Fantastic food and extremely friendly service in this lively, happy restaurant.
Extremely tasty food, quantity and value ! If you want to explore your unexplored areas in your taste buds, give it a try. These Ethiopian spices are ancient! Their flat bread(inchera) is better than their peers in the town. However, their phone didn't work when I tried to give an order, but had to go in person.
Had a delicious dinner here, very chill vibe and friendly service. Highly recommended and great food.
The food here was really good.I really recommend if you want to eat some really good Ethiopian food.I really love it here and I’m definitely coming again.
They quickly prepared food, staff was very kind and helpful. The food is good, especially the beef stew.
Kitfo is definitely no no no Nahhh, it is more like hot spice not kitfo. The only thing I liked its their dark injera, it's very light. The owners needs to change their cook, for sure the cooks taste gland are dull cause they ain't putting the right plate out!I was very disappointed. In that case yeshi mart more flavor than this place, if you want to play simple simple..But the top dog in vegas is Luehena kitfo got everyone shaking oweeee!
