We used to go here all the time, pre-pandemic. We loved it. We stopped going because the line is too long during dinner so we go during lunch. This time we went for dinner because we were in town on a Friday and wanted the Seafood buffet. Stood in line for an hour and a half before opening, and another 45 mins, once they started letting people in. For starters there was plenty to eat. Only disappointment was the clams. Every round we went up to get some most of them were still not open. The clam chowder was burnt, and in the Asian section the noodles I had(I believe it was pad Thai noodles), were cold . A little disappointing for the price. On the other hand everything else we had tasted fresh, there was plenty of crab legs in more than 1 station. The workers are great. They make sure you get your drinks right away. And they pick up your plates pretty quick too.
My wife I attended this buffet with friends and were pleasantly surprised at the selection of both the breakfast and dinner buffets More than enough selections of foods Reasonably priced
Oh yes!! Now that is a good Buffet. Got to go early, the line can get very long and the wait can be an hour. But you will still get quality food and great service.
$15 buffet! You're going to get what you pay for.The service is pretty great though! Attentive wait staff and your drink is never empty. If you're on a budget, not a terrible spot to hit. You can easily pay for your meal in one or 2 hands of black jack.
The most economical buffet in Las Vegas. My husband likes the prime rib the most. He likes it so much that we ate there 3 days in a row. As for me I can't eat my money worth because I don't have much of an appetite. But three days in a row, I did get a good sample. The prime ribs is good. I tried some taco at the Mexican station, it looks like a southwest than Mexican, but that's only my opinion. I tried the Asian station, the only thing that I like was a fresh made stir fry. The seafood station I like the sushi, it tasted like it was fresh made, but the Wasabi there looks like green horse radish sauce. It's not real Wasabi. I cleared my sinus. The desert section, there wasn't much that I like. Everything there look like store bought desert, except may be for the Gelato which my husband likesMost of the items there looks to me as heat and serve. The salad bar is surprisingly good. Overall it's not a bad buffet. We will be back again.
We were staying nearby so we took advantage of the favorable pricing that was combined with either coupons or the Monday senior points 50% off discount on two mornings. Included in our and possibly your weekday buffet experience are free bloody Marys of which we each had each enjoyed one. Our initial plates combined an assortment of fruit along with yogurt and typically preceded plates #2. These included perfectly cooked easy over eggs though the same individual will be happy to cook you an omelet with a variety of fixins. Breakfast potato offering should not be, and weren't, ignored as I enjoyed hash browns, O'Brien potatoes, and Lyonnaise potatoes though not on the same day. Sampling at the various stations is deemed de riguer so my second plates were filled with an assortment of treats including mushrooms, spinach, bacon, beef sausage and corned beef hash. There happened to be a third plate, one that included a mouth watering portion of chocolate cake, a warm bread pudding with vanilla sauce and, god and my cardiologist forgive me, more bacon.
We specifically went on a Sunday so that we could once again, as in days gone by, enjoy the Prime Rib. Paid $22.99 per person. The prime rib would have moo'ed at me given half a chance...so raw and you cannot convince me that everyone and his brother wants their meat like that. A very thin slice (can you spare it?) was thrown on the grill, overcooked and then more or less plopped down on my plate. Not impressed, not like in previous visits. The mashed potatoes were cold. The fried shrimp were so tiny! The section were the taco makings were displayed was so messy and unappetizing to say the least. The bacon was so thin you probably could read the newspaper through it. Scrambled eggs were cold. It was extremely busy and I just couldn't get to the fresh fruit and a couple of other areas. The dessert area was clean and well stocked and the server went out of her way to get the donut I wanted--thanks for that! Our server was absolutely lovely and very attentive...kept us happy with Mimosas and even brought bagels to our table because we couldn't find them. Wouldn't go again because just too expensive for what they are serving up to us. Very sad visit.
The service is good and the food was good but the lines to get in were slow and a long wait. We timed it Ok, but we could see the line growing and people having to wait a very long time. For this size of casino the seating in the buffet could easily be increased to accommodate the demand.
The breakfast buffet at South Point was absolutely the worst buffet I have been to in my life. There was practically nothing edible. Our whole family kept trying to find something decent, and it was nearly impossible, so we kept having to waste food and there was no way to avoid it. Extremely undercooked eggs, except when they were overcooked, dreadful desserts, inexplicable French toast that just tasted bad. How is that even possible to have bad tasting French toast? Dry ham and fruit that has seen better days rounded out the offerings. The sausage was okay. Definitely not recommended.
This is one of the cheaper buffets in Las Vegas. You get what you pay for. I swear the customer service and food quality have taken a steep decline over the past 6 months, more so than the other buffets in Las Vegas. After my January 2022 visit on the way back to the strip we had to pull the car over so I could vomit. This last visit (March 2022) they were completely not accommodating for our group with a wheelchair. They sat the party of 5 from behind us in line and then made us wait another half hour after paying to seat us, while seating 20 more parties. Then, a girl ran through the dining room and vomited right in the middle of the room. It took another half hour for them to clean that up. The food selection is pretty limited. The desserts are the best part of the menu and the servers in that area are the best at customer service.
