BLT to die for! Best EVER! Review for Eggscellent, 2534 E. Desert Inn Road, Las Vegas, NV 89122, on the north side of the street, east of Eastern Avenue in the Ross Dress for Less shopping center near the east end, on June 14, 2022, about 2pm. This is definitely a 5 (five) star review. Great food, great service, nice ambiance, cute decorations, service with a smile! I could never find anything except fast food in this area, and I was so hungry for some breakfast! We lucked onto Eggscellent. It is WELL named! My 14yo son and I, dropped into this little hole-in-the-wall diner hoping to find a good meal. And we were impressed by the FOOD and SERVICE! We were immediately greeted with a smile and receiving smiling service throughout meal. We ordered two coffees and they came with a bowl French vanilla creamer. The coffee was the perfect temperature, we could drink it right away, but it was hot enough to warm us up. Then we perused the menu. It had dozens of regular to exotic to interesting to … too much to choose from and it all looked and sounded great! I’m into regular meals that taste as good as home, but I have already decided to try their eggs benedict dishes on my next visit. [I don’t usually eat benedict anywhere except Kitchen Table which is OMG good, because most places simply cannot make good Hollandaise sauce.] So that tells you, I believe in their offerings right from the start – Excellence is in their name and their food! I ordered a BLT, no tomato, extra mayonnaise on the side with fries, plus a side of ranch for my fries (see the fantastic photo). My son ordered the Chorizo Skillet (again, see photo). We were offered refills of our coffee three times before the food came out, and the food came out quick. My son grabbed a couple of my fries, and we both said at the same time, “These taste the same as the old-fashioned McDonald’s fries.” They were so perfectly crispy and salty, and delicious. Don’t even get me started on the BLT – OMG OMG – the best EVER! I’d stop there daily for just this BLT. I do not usually like restaurant BLTs because many use the thick bacon now, which gets hard when you fry it and is not ideal for sandwiches. The bacon in this sandwich was perfect, delicious and overflowing with goodness! The lettuce was crisp, the bread was yummy! I’m telling you; IT DOES NOT get better than this! Just look at that photo! My son’s order was just as delicious (see photo)! His skillet was piled high with deliciousness! Needless to say 5 5 5 5 stars all around for FOOD, service, atmosphere and smiles! Total was $50.44 for two people, tip included, I tipped bigger than usual because it was WORTH it!
Great breakfast, diverse menu options and fabulous staff. Definitely a five star experience. Don’t miss this amazing gem.
What just happened?!? My wife, kids and I left the strip to explore local restaurants in Vegas. We stumbled on Eggscellent and I am glad we did. Spicy box is an innovative genius dish! This place is awesome! Great service, kind people, eggscellent food, and the music is perfect for a relaxing meal (blues).I didn’t get their names but our server (JJ?) was great and the host (bald is beautiful, with sleeve tats) is a difference maker. They made us feel extremely welcome.. thanks guys! We’ll done, Eggscellent, keep up the great work! PEOPLE, go to this joint, you’ll be impressed!
This is a nice little breakfast spot. The pricing was reasonable and the food was pretty good. There were quite a few options to choose from on the menu. I would recommend to anyone.
We got there early (around 9) on a Saturday and they were busy! But we got in within 10 minutes luckily. Food choices are amazing, almost too many good things to choose from.Coffee was good ✅Food took a bit longer to come out than a corporate place but sooo worth it. Seriously massive. So much food for the price! And it was delicious. Everyone was nice and accommodating, would definitely come back.
My wife and I had an great experience at Eggcellent on Desert Inn Rd in Las Vegas. We found that s place by accident while searching for a breakfast place near the area. This breakfast spot does a lot of things right. Inside, the restaurant is clean and spacious. Lots of staff working buzzing by serving customers. It's a busy place, especially during the weekend. We waited about 30-min to be seated. There's seating inside white you wait though most people waited paid. Once seated we waited some more to have our order taken. The whole experience up to this point is was a bit long, but like I said, this place seems to be quite popular so it was very busy.I ordered the butcher Benny and my wife got the pancakes with meat. Everything was well cooked and absolutely delicious. Their breakfast potatoes are a must and the pancakes were huge and very tasty. I particularly enjoyed all the meats and flavor in the Butcher Benny. Highly recommend this swish if you're a meat lover kinda person. All in all, this place doesn't disappoint. It takes a little while to get seated and to get your food, but it's well worth it. I highly recommend Eggcellent for breakfast.
Although the service was good, we were not impressed with our food. We ordered sunny side up eggs and the yolk was not runny. We also got the breakfast potatoes which were almost burnt and didn’t look like the photos at all. Almost seemed like these potatoes were old potatoes that got cold so they just threw them back in the fryer or something. Instead of asking for a replacement, we just bought another side of potatoes and asked for them to be softer. Took 20 minutes just to get the potatoes, waiting after our check was closed. Our waiter was good but wish the food was better, at least in our case.
Forget the strip with its fancy schmancy TV chef breakfast places. Be daring, be bold venture away from the strip to try a real treat. It's not the fastest service, it's not in a great area tourist wise, but it's worth the these small inconveniences to give it a go.The food was hot, well made and presented well. Was everything the best I ever had, no. it was rock solid though and a real contender. As far as breakfast restaurants go, it's the best in this area of town. With only a couple others edging it out in Las Vegas as a whole.
Found this via Google, way off the strip but worth the little Drive. Tasteful foods and great coffee. Cool staff and funny decorations.
Tourist here.. if you are looking for a good off strip breakfast/brunch spot then this is your place. Wide ranging menu with healthy portions.
