Deserves the hype. Make a reservation though!Food was excellent. Waiter was attentive. Some of the food took a while to come out, but boy, was it worth it. The quality, the flavor, drooling just thinking about it.No need to hype this place up further. No one in the right mind would think this place is not at least above average.
Great food great atmosphere. Highly recommend
Great food. Can’t wait to go back again
Trust me. You want this food.Soup dumplings are amazing. My favorite is the spicy chicken. Each dumpling is meticulously crated with care and love, just for you to pound them down your face hole. Or order a bunch and hang out. But whatever you do, make sure to try the chocolate dumplings. It will forge a delicious memory and ruin your expectations for food by setting the bar high.
We truly enjoyed it and great food selections and the staffs are friendly ,I definitely come back again The ambiance is great and the bathroom is unique
Get reservations online. You come check in and wait to be seated. The pork soup dumplings are better than the crab ones. They are both bite size and not the bigger ones I’m used to from the other restaurants. The pork chop noodle was amazing. They give you an option of having the pork chop on the side so it isn’t soggy. We asked for this option but they put it in by mistake anyway. It was still amazing. I don’t know how they make the pork chop so tender. It was delicious. We also has some vegetables rice cake. Both really good. We also got the black milk tea with bubbles and that was amazing. For dessert we had the red bean and sesame. The sesame was better. Both really good. Pricing is a little in the pricey side but food is great.
Everything was made to perfection. I have never had such a delicious bun before. The spicy wonton has a delicious broth. They give you soy sauce, vinegar, and chili to create a mixture for your dumplings and it enhances the experience so much more. If you love dumplings, this is the place to go. The service was outstanding. We had our food in within 10 minutes.
Been to the restaurant in Taipei and it was amazing. Saw they opened up one inside the Aria hotel and had to give it a try. It's pretty busy and everytime I walked by it they had a lineup. Was able to get a reservation an hour later. The house chicken soup was very flavorful and also came with lots of chicken meat. Seaweed and Bean curd salad wasn't too bad and good for a refreshing snack. Onto the XLB that they are known for. Came out looking good but unfortunately it just wasn't the same as the ones they make in Taipei. Taste not bad, but they had absolutely zero soup in the dumpling once you bit into it. Needless to say, was kinda disappointed with it.
Second time to Din Tai Fung. Food was just as good as the first time. We love their dumplings. I really wanted to try the wonton soup this time but my ordered never came even after a long 30 minutes after all the other food had arrived so we ended up requesting to have it cancelled. The service this time wasn’t as great. It’s always busy and hopping here but the first time we were there the service was excellent. This time around, the server was really really slow and would skip around tables It was hard to get his attention when we needed something and we aren’t usually needy people. He was very pleasant and nice but not attentive enough. We were waiting for someone to come by after we got done with our food for over 30 minutes and had to flag him down to get our check and cancel the wonton soup. After he brought the check, he didn’t even include a pen so I had to flag him down again and his response was that people usually leave after signing the check at times and don’t pay. Well if that’s the case then why not ask me how I wanted to pay as he knew we were ready to leave. We ended up putting it down as room charge and he said we were good to go. Well half way out he flagged us down as our hotel didn’t put me down as an authorize person to place room charges which is weird as we never had this problem before. Switched it to the husbands name and asked if he wanted us to stick around but he said that should be good. We will return again but hopefully the service is better. Can’t beat the prices and food quality.
Took a group of 10 to Din Tai Fun to celebrate a birthday. It came very highly recommended and it DID NOT DISAPPOINT. The service. The food. Absolute perfection... We ordered a whole slew of food, and everything was divine. There is simply no reason not to go... Price is also insanely reasonable.
