We went there for our 24th wedding anniversary and for my husbandâs 50th birthday and the restaurant was great except that I gave my order for them to cook my steak well done no pink it came out with lots of pink in it and when they took it back to finish cooking it and make it well done with no pink it was very dry so I was not happy about that. I am diabetic so I would not be able to eat the potato casserole thing that they brought out as a side for us the brussels sprouts were good they just needed some type of sauce on them they were dry as well so we just threw some salt and pepper on them. But other than that everything was fine. not sure if Iâll be going back my filet mignon cost me $60 and was not cooked correctly and they did not try to discount it or accommodate us in any kind away for the mess up so I did not like that.
Our servers were fabulous; our steaks were superb; and the mash potatoes, creamed corn and deviled eggs were tasty additions!
We have eaten at Delmonico numerous times in the past and have always had a great experience. Unfortunately, this was sub par at best. We brought our kids to celebrate our 15th anniversary and also the fact that we got engaged at Delmonico 16 years prior. The sommalier was rather rude when we chose a $125 bottle of wine instead of a $500 + bottle and barely gave us the time of day. Our waiter took no time to go over the menu like they did at other tables. I think it was because of our kids being there. Mind you, they are 11 and 13 and very well behaved. My kids both ordered the filet and fries. The fries were amazing. My son's filet, though ordered medium, came out borderline rare. When we asked to have it cooked longer, they were annoyed. My daughters filet was fine. It took over 20 min for my son to get a new filet so they ended up sharing my daughters filet because he was starving. The manager came over and offered us dessert?!?! Luckily our server stepped in and took both filets off our bill as we didn't even touch the recooked filet. I expect so much more from a restaurant like Delmonico's. I won't be back.
Service was great ! Food was great . Banana foster was delicious
The food was wonderful and served promptly but never was rushed. The waiter (unfortunately I did not get his name) was extremely helpful with explaining the food. Also, my 11 yo son asked some general questions regarding the wines the had on site. The waiter was very kind and answered his questions. Expensive but throughly enjoyable dining experience.
The thing I noticed immediately was the level of service. Multiple people were visiting our table making sure everything was handled, BUT without making you feel swarmed. The food was delicious and the cocktails were very well made. Everything we asked for a nearly immediately arranged and we were even presented with a special dessert for our anniversary. It was a wonderful experience.
Outstanding service and meal. Highly recommend.
Service was excellent, prices were very high. Very loud in the restaurant and unfortunately the table behind us, the patrons were tipsy and swearing loudly
Wilted salad and bone in filet were amazing, scallops, pasta not good at all. Our service was mediocre. Seemed we were forgotten about-food seemed to fire wrong bc pasta dishes came out cold. Waiter seemed disinterested in us. So disappointed. This was a splurge for my family and wasnât worth it.
This was a lovely evening! Initially we did have to wait at our table, with no acknowledgement, for 10 minutes, however once our server tended to us everything was excellent. We had the Pork chop entree and scallop dinner - everything was perfect. I would not hesitate to come here again.
