This restaurant was on my list from a Las Vegas foodie blogger that I follow and I am so pleased I went with her recommendation. It’s located in a unassuming shopping plaza with not much around and not in the old Chinatown plaza. From the outside I would have never found this place on my own or decided to give it a try if I drove by but glad we did.We were originally looking for dim sum but found ourselves here even though they don’t do dim sum. I wanted to try the mama’s special pan fried buns but the waiter said they are made to order and take about 45 minutes! Kinda disappointing since we didn’t want to wait that long. Decided to pass this time around but next time I’m gonna order these before I even sit down.We ordered the stir-fried green beans, crispy beef, mama’s special chow mein, shrimp fried rice and the pork soup dumplings. Loved every dish and every bite. If there are soup dumplings on the menu I usually order these and wasn’t disappointed, tasty soup inside, and dumpling wrapper wasn’t too delicate that it remained intact during the transfer to my spoon. Definitely don’t skip out on the crispy beef and this was my favorite, it’s a little sweet, crispy and packed with flavor. As we waited for our food we were surprised on how busy the restaurant got. It’s definitely a hidden gem that a lot of people know about.

Wow, this place is delicious! It's no wonder it was packed on a Thursday night at 6:30pm. I can only imagine how busy it gets on the weekends. We ordered the mapo tofu, salted egg yolk shrimp, green beans and crispy beef. All excellent dishes, but the first three were my favorite. Service was quick and friendly. I was also pleasantly surprised with how diverse the clientele was and loved seeing how comfortable people were eating Chinese food. My friends are locals and plan to bring their family and other friends here. I would also definitely come back to try more dishes!

Best Chinese Food I've had in Vegas since moving here. Definitely won't disappoint. They also cook everything to order so sometimes the entree may come out a few minutes sooner. They wait is well worth it but the wait usually isn't longer then 30 minutes. Small restaurant so definitely recommend someone getting there in advance to put your parties name on the wait list. If you're looking into this restaurant I am going to say you go ahead and make this happen!

What a hidden gem!! The service was amazing but, it's all about the food. The sesame chicken was crunchy and also so tender. The pork buns out standing best in LV. I would go back. The price was on point with the portion size. The was delivered as soon as it was done.Bathroom was very clean.

China mama's offers authentic flavor and great service. Portions are large enough for family style dining. Everthing from the pork dumplings to the main entrees were great. Hands down favorite is the crispy beef. We have found a new favorite weather with family or for business. A must try!

We were very pleasantly surprised by this place, having sampled Chinese food in numerous places around the country. The place was reasonably busy for a weeknight, but the wait was short for a table. They do not take reservations for

My first time trying China Mama and I’m craving again looking at the photos ? The food are all so delicious and very unique. I tried Honey walnut shrimp, wok-fried Chinese cauliflower, Mama’s special chow mein & crispy pork w Mama’s special sauce… honestly they are all good! The service is also very nice, the server ladies keep checking on us and ask if we like the food. They also provide hot tea ??? Overall, this is a must try restaurant in Chinatown LV. Will definitely coming back!

I just move to Las Vegas from California so I would like to think I have a well rounded knowledge on asian cuisine. On social media I've been seen this restaurant "China Mama" been popping up when I browse my Instagram, so today I was set on having lunch at this establishment. When I walked through doors, I was fascinated at the interior design of the place, the walls, tables and lighting because it had an atmosphere of exclusivity in a foodie type of way however at the same time the staff and service was impeccable and very welcoming to newcomers. What I noticed when I sat down is the teapot, the plates and the menu, the reason why I mentioned those things is because in a typical chinese restaurant, you see a white/red plastic plate with a chinese design on the front of the plate with teapots and teacups that have some residue on them. Along with a sticky menu book that sounds like velcro when you pull the pages apart. Rest assured because the dining set at this restaurant is nothing like that and the level of detail the manager or owner put it in must be applauded because it displays that they care for their customers and uphold the highest level of sanitation. The plates and the teapot were immaculate and also the menu was colorful and clear where I didn't know what dish I wanted to pick because I was so astonished with how vibrant the menu was designed. For new restaurants I always conduct my version of a litmus test regarding food. For chinese restaurants I order fried rice and whatever special pork dish they have on hand to gauge the type of quality I can expect. I will say this, I've had homecook fried rice, traditional fried rice and my goodness is this fried rice really spot on when it comes to flavor, seasoning and cook temperature. I order the shrimp egg fried rice and everything was delicious from the star of the dish being the shrimp to the vegetables. The blend was so harmonious that I was silently eating and lost track of time due to it being cooked to perfection.Secondly, I ordered the twice cooked pork with spicy sauce and the tenderness of the pork was so heavenly I indulge in more after more, even when I was full, my body was pushing my hand to eat more because I subconsciously didn't want the sensation of the umami to fade. I have never had a pork dish like that in a chinese restaurant. It's a far drive from where I currently reside so ontop of the lunch I had I decided to order to dish for to go so I can have the experience again for dinner. I order the pan fried pork dumplings along with signature salted egg yolk prawns. As much as I want to encourage people to try the restaurants I share on reviews, I secretly want to keep this restaurant to myself and just keep it hidden so it dosent get packed in the near future where I have to fight over reservations. That being said, whomever is looking for the best pound for pound chinese restaurant in Las Vegas? CHINA MAMA is THE best hidden secret in this city. It was a wonderful experience and it will not be the last time I visit this extraordinary establishment.
