Nothing like some good southern food in the hot desert! This food was AMAZING!First off, they sell Kool-aid, so I knew this was the spot.Second, the cheese grits with shrimp/sausage...WOW. I never needed a nap so fast...10/10!Got Lemon pepper wings as an appetizer, and they didn't disappoint either. Definitely bookmarking this for a future trip!
If you're looking for Soul Food in Vegas this is a must stop! We walked by this place in the afternoon and saw the menu and couldn't wait to come back. They open at 11am and close early 7p so get there on time. I actually came for lunch after someone recommended this spot that was right outside our hotel Polo Towers. I ordered the Mama's Fish which came with 2 sides and a roll and I got the purple Kool-aid. ? Total it was about 13 dollars which for the amount of food you got was beyond worth it. 1st time I got for my sides the Mac n cheese and yams and I busted it Downnnnn! When I went back with my aunt the next day I got the 2 meats special which was the pulled pork sandwich with the sweet honey BBQ and Fried Fish again and potato salad and yams for the sides. There was nothing left on my plate after, so that let's you know I'll definitely be back here when I come to Vegas. Literally not kidding when you read the sign that says your about to eat the best BBQ...don't walk run here and the people working there makes it even better!
This place was awesome in my opinion. The food was well prepared. The customer service was also nice, both ladies working the windows were nice. The first night I ordered Mrs. Mary's Fish with Collard Greens and Mac n Cheese. The next day I ordered Chicken and Waffles, which both things melted in my mouth. If I lived in Las Vegas I'd find myself going on a regular basis. It was easy to locate in relation to the strip and right outside of our hotel. My only complaint is the hours, they are open from 11:00am to 6:00pm which makes it hard to order in the evening if desired. Otherwise I'd highly recommend.
We got the rib tips and omg it was SOOOOOO salty!!! We tried to scrape the seasoning off but it was also very very dry and tough. An absolute disappointment. We replaced it with the sausage link and the lady was kind enough to give us fries with it, but unfortunately the fries were cold and dry and the sausage link was nothing to write home about. The two sides we got were okay back again, nothing to write home about. Terrible experience overall.
VERY DISAPPOINTED AND DISSATISFIED customer being a native of chicago and looking for a good rib joint . the rib tips were TOUGH AND HARD to bite and chew into and one was even cold than the mac and cheese . was stoufers mac & cheese with no seasoning. i expected more and let’s NOT get started with the sweet potatoes . smfh the werent sweet with no seasoning . My family and i expected their food to be “husain, husain” as my son would say and it was NOT ! AT ALL !
I ordered two 4 slab ribs with mac and cheese and baked beans dinners. It all went into the trash. Everything is processed food except the meat. The ribs were scorched and very salty. The Mac n cheese was dry and tasted like fake cheese the bake beans were hard and had no seasoning and they had a lot of red pepper in them. My cake slices were definitely store bought tasted generic and old. The kool laid was too sweet. $75 went straight to the trash.
Food was so good. I ordered the chicken & waffles w/greens & mac&cheese on the side. The waffles...*chefs kiss* didn't even need the syrup. Best waffles I've ever tasted! Chicken was bomb!!! Would def come bk here everytime I come to Vegas
Stuff my Turkey, was an awesome spot. It's pricey but there turkey legs easily feeds 2.....
Great food pure comfort food I recommend the chicken wings and waffles. The waffles are so sweet also the Catish was crispy on the outside but not too crispy and perfectly juicy on the inside I’ll be back for sure ..Oh and my favorite is the shrimp and grits ?
Smelled the ribs from the strip and had to stop in. Ordered the rib tips and Mac and Cheese and cheese along with greens. Everything is delicious the meats are so tender and everything is seasoned well.
