Chickpeas is one of my go to's when I don't feel like cooking. I grab the small family meal (30 bucks. Now 40) and the lentil soup. Feeds me for a week. Food has been great every time. I am not a fan of lentils but I love this soup!7/22 -- Lentil soup tastes acidic, maybe rancid. Called back and was told that was the taste. Going to return tomorrow and get a fresh batch.
I stopped in because I was getting my car detailed across the street. The woman working was very welcoming, and the place seemed pretty lowkey.I ordered the lamb shawarma, the flavor profile was great, exactly what I wanted, but there were some notable disappointments. The ingredients that were out buffet style to be served were not fresh, the lettuce had oxidized (the red that appears), it is still safe to eat, but I do hold restaurants to a higher standard than my own kitchen ?Also, the lamb was not fresh either, it was dry. It was fine in the sandwich being masked by all the great flavors and the actual flavor profile of the meat was great as well, but eating the lamb on its own was a mistake…All in all because I slammed it back i’ll give this place a 4. I hope to try it again some day with better quality ingredients!
I went to chickpeas new location on Lake Mead boulevard. This was my first time trying out their food. I ordered the chicken bowl and I must say it was delicious! Their food is very fresh the chicken was moist and tender. They were very friendly and it was very clean inside. I will definitely be going back.
Amazing service! Catering and large order specialists. We placed an order of over 50 entrees and sides. It was ready on time and they helped up load it into our van. The owner is very friendly and clearly appreciates his customers. The food was excellent also!
This place was excellent they had the freshest food and it look fabulous and it tasted great excellent placeFeatures: No mask required
I'm a huge fan of mediterranean food and was excited about this restaurant based on the reviews I read. sad to say I was wrong I will never eat here again the hummus was watery and thin. The lamb ground kebab was a rubbery and it had a fishy smell. If I didn't know any better I would say they cooked it and old oil.
They used to be good. I would eat there often. Then things changed and now they suck. Tables not clean, portions different every day, recipes not the same. Infused water jug empty and dirty, no silverware wrapped. Everything being served in to-go containers. Mushroom humus spoiled made my friend sick. Wow what a let down. 3 times in the last week we gave them another chance. They failed badly. Not going back.
I've tried 5 mediterranean restaurants in Las Vegas so far and Chickpeas is by far the best in every regard.- The staff are always friendly (if a little overly busy)- The portions are large- The food tastes great- The food is authentic (according to my Lebanese and Greek friends who approved this review)While some restaurants offer a larger variety of options, Chickpeas absolutely has the best seasoned, most well cooked food in the city at this price range. The shawarma is always phenomenal with fresh, well stored vegetables and perfectly chewy pita. The kebabs are a little on the pricy side, but expertly cooked and exploding with flavor. Their pizzas, likewise, have a rich smoky flavor from their brick fire oven. Even the fries and salads are sizeable portions and well made.My #1 pick: Lamb shawarma, fries, tzatziki dressing, and tabouli salad. Combined, it's a meal that more than fills me up (a 270 pound man), and has a huge variety of flavors, textures, and aroma. It'll leave you feeling full without the terrible weight and discomfort of other meals.
I used eat at this place a lot bcz it’s pretty close to where I live and the food is not bad too, but right now it’s terrible. The food doesn’t taste good anymore, customer service is zero so don’t spend your money and waste your time guys. Today I Ordered 1 chicken wrap I threw it away bcz it taste something not good at all. They really need to update themselves or close down the business that’s it.
I love the warm hospitality of Iman and staff. The appetizer platter is some of the best mediterrean I've had. I also like the cute outdoor seating area.
