Visited Buena Vista Kitchen for the first time today. I was excited to try it as it’s not far from my home, and in a great location. We were seated on the patio in 108 degree weather. There was no fan near us, no mist etc. When the party near the only fan on the patio left, one would have expected someone to move it near us since we were just seated for lunch, no one bothered. We were boiling hot plus had to ask for water refills several times. We had to ask for chips and salsa and when the basket arrived it was literally like 7 chips and a tiny container of salsa. I am used to a huge basket of chips, two large containers of salsa and a full water glass at all times. Great chips and salsa is one of the best parts of a Mexican restaurant for most of us.When our meals were served, my plate had a hair in it. I sent it back and my friends continued with their lunch. By the time my replacement dish arrived, my friends were finished with thier lunch. A credit, an apology, or some sort of acknowledgment would have been a nice gesture. We continued to ask for water throughout the meal which was disappointing considering its 108 degrees outside and there was no mist or fans to keep us cool. I don’t think this place should seat people on the patio in summer until they have made better provisions for their guests. A nice big bowl of chips and fresh salsa should be offered to all guests as that is a typical expectation at a Mexican restaurant, especially with Margaritas. The food was good, the presentation could have been better. I am hopeful that this review helps this business as the location is fantastic and I would like to try it again at some point.
Found Buena Vista Kitchen by accident. Loved the charming outdoor dining patio (only offers outdoor dining). I was planning on only ordering coffee and a small side but after seeing the menu, I decided to get the green chilaquiles. One of the very best versions I’ve ever had. Coffee was great, too. Met Manny, the chef. Manny and his staff were all great. Looking forward to coming back for the French toast.
Being on the lake and named Buena Vista, which i think translates to GOOD VIEW, one would think its got a good view. Yes.....of the parking lot. Typical Mexican food. Nothing special. Ordered a burrito. It was ok. That drink was good.
Nice place to kick back and enjoy a nice afternoon.
Came here for the first time through a recommendation of their chilaquiles. Ordered the red & green sauce chilaquiles with carnitas and they were delicious! Heat lamps outside make for a pleasant atmosphere during the meal. Servers were friendly & attentive. Churros were hot, crispy, and super tasty! Will definitely be coming back!
Very good food at reasonable prices. Employees are very nice
Truly delicious carne asada. Everything is cooked to order, delivered fresh and piping hot to the table. Both the red and green sauces were stellar.Portion sizes are generous and everyone was so friendly.
Excellent food and service
Best Irish coffee and the fish and chips were the best.My first time there and I will definitely go back! I highly recommend this place.
Went for a late breakfast today. I had been wanting to try this place for a while and glad we did. I had Chilaquilas with carnitas and it was delicious, also at the table juevos Rancheros with green sauce was ordered and it was great too. Service was perfect and we sat right down. I would definitely go back, I want to try their breakfast burritos next time that they are known for.
