Great local option for chicken sandwiches!I wanted to try something non-touristy on a brief visit to Las Vegas, and from what I could find online this certainly fit the bill. This is a new restaurant but already feels well established.The restaurant is clean and bright, with modern decor. The menu offers a fun variety of creative sandwiches at fair prices. They also offer breakfast and brunch. We ordered the night fowl (a Thai/Vietnamese style sandwich) and a special fried eggplant sandwich. The chicken sandwiches are made with thigh meat. We also got a side of young broccoli and a agua fresca.The food was served quickly. I really liked the night fowl but my dining partner did not. I thought it was great and tasted kind of like a bahn mi. The sauce is fairly runny so the last few bites were more flavorful than the first few. The eggplant sandwich was delicious, truly one of the best vegetarian meals I’ve eaten. The broccoli was okay, but a bit chewy. The agua fresca was good but tasted more like a lemonade than the melon it was supposed to.
First visit. Building is extremely clean, I saw 2 people in the dining area wiping down tables while I waited. I ordered the club combo, fries, lemonade and an order of broccoli to go. My wait was not long at all. I received a fork plus napkins. I would suggest including a knife because the broccoli could not be cut with the fork alone. The fries were great but too much salt. Meaning I had remaining salt on my fingers and in the container. The sandwich bread is thick and delicious. It wasn't a remarkable sandwich and I have over a half leftover plus the broccoli. If I'm in the area I may try again but I would not go out of my way. I will attach pictures. The cashier was very pleasant.
Got the reg Blue Hen sandwich with level 1 spicy (I'm weak, I'm working on it ?). Juicy, fresh chicken. Very tasty but a tad too strong on the cumin spicing IMO. A bit too greasy for me too, sandwich was in a small puddle of oil, bottom bun somewhat soaked. But would def give it another try next time, lots of other pros about sandwich freshness to draw me back.Hand cut fries were delicious albeit a bit over salted. Super fresh tasting, great fry. Not greasy, crunchy outside, soft inside.
Stopped by this new restaurant a few days ago. Items on the menu all looked interesting. My wife and I ordered different chicken sandwiches and she added a side of grilled broccoli and I had the “spuds”. Everything was perfectly prepared and we enjoyed dining in the fresh and clean surroundings. We topped off our meal with fresh-baked cookies which were meant to go, but we couldn’t resist eating right away. Order more to go. The staff were friendly very courteous. The restaurant owner took the time to ask how we enjoyed things, and we gave him very positive reviews. Definitely will be returned back for more and telling our friends/family about this new Blue Hen gem!!!
We love the food here…fresh and delicious. Dan Shank and I live in Wickenburg, Arizona and when we’re in Vegas, we make it a point to stop for a great meal and great service. We highly recommend Blue Hen Chicken Co.?
Came in on a sunday. To my surprise, Nobody but my family and another family. Guess its because they are still fairly new and just opened on sundays. Totally worth the stop! Delicious with fresh ingredients. Will be back.
Heyy, this review has been long overdue!I had tried this lovely place the moment they opened and their food is mind blowing! Im glad that theyve been doing well since!My friend came from Texas and was craving some brunch / morning type food. He used to work at Pvp Zone so I told them the food here would bring back some heartwarming memories! The food was so good and he loved the southern breakfast style vibe they had with the decor. He felt like he was at home!I'm glad they finally extended their hours so I am finally able to go! I work very early mornings at 5am and usually didn't get off work until 3-4pm and back then they would have already been closed! However, they have updated their hours and stay open a bit later!Now onto the food, my friend and I had ordered the early bird. He had ordered the combo (again, which they didn't have before, it used to be A la carte) and all the food and drinks were perfectly proportioned! The chicken was very saucy yet still managed to have a crispy crunch on the outside!I had ordered a limeade with it and I wish they had a bigger size because it was refreshing and good, though for me it wasn't enough to quench your thirst..Either way, this place is perfect for the Sunday brunch gatherings and I hope they continue to do amazingly well!
Skip Popeyes, Chick-fil A, or any other fast food fried chicken, Blue Hen is the real, fresh home made fried crispy chicken thigh sandwich on briole bun, aioli, chili infused duck oil, egg on top or Thai infused. You just got to come in if you want real chicken the way it should be fried to perfection.
I absolutely love their Thai inspired chicken sandwich (night fowl) and the fries!! The food is the bomb.com! I'm so happy me and my sister stopped by this restaurant. I definitely need to come back and try many more items on the menu. My ultimate favorite food from here are the fries though! They are super delicious it had the right amount of crispiness and the inside is fluffy with lovely seasoning! A bonus is that the atmosphere is so pleasant and home like. It is truly a lovely restaurant :) Thank you to the employees as well, they are customer orientated and made the experience awesome! :D
Best chicken sandwich I’ve ever ate! Also, the staff is so nice and courteous! I will definitely come back again on my next visit to Las Vegas!
