We Had Lobster Pan Roast, mild spice. We havenât been here since pre pandemic. Appears original recipe was modified for the worse for our taste. Couldnât taste any spice, lobster seemed under cooked & blubbery texture. But the worst change was a large amount of chopped celery & green onions added.
What a great experience we had! The oysters were AMAZING and service was outstanding. We will return!
Food too salty
My wife loves their pan roast but she thought it tasted a little different now. New menu, seafood boil was great. Service was a little off for a very slow early Tuesday, we had the same server pre-covid and she hasn't improved. It's open to the casino floor so that's your ambiance.
My dish was great, my husband’s salmon was warm and his vegetable was cold, but everything tasted good as usual. We attributed it to delay in getting due to how busy the restaurant was that evening.
We have been coming to Tides for years. We have seen all of the changes they made for various reasons and I think that, while the menu is smaller than it used to be, the food is consistently good and last night we tried the new Seafood Boil that they added to the menu. It was very good and we will definitely try it again!
I’ve been to the other Station Casino oyster bars but the Green Valley Ranch location is by far my new favorite. Much more spacious than the others. Service was very attentive. Food was delicious.
This is the first time going to the Tides at GVR. Previously we have enjoyed excellent food at the Sunset Station Oyster Bar. At the Tides there is almost no atmosphere, looking more like a very plain diner. The server at the seating bar could not have been more attentive, friendly or efficient. He checked on us frequently to see if all was right and it we needed anything. The food left a lot to be desired. The clam chowder was fairly tasteless with almost no clams. The jumbo shrimp were very, very good but the crab bake was not nearly as good tasting as that at the Station Casino. Will probably not go back.
