Great food, Great atmosphere. Happy to make another trip for the food.
After eating great fish all over the world, I can say this restaurant and it’s sister restaurant on Saraha are among the bestFish is fresh, well prepared and imaginative. Teppan is clever and delicious. Ask for John or Ray or Armando at the sushi bar and catch Mike playing and singing in the Lounge. They have been doing something right for over 50 years…
Great food and very entertaining!
I ordered the scallops seared in garlic butter and sake, they tasted delicious, the presentation was a little lacking. 4 stars. The waitress was absolutely wonderful. 5 stars.I'm traveling on my own walking from my hotel to the restaurant, I get there around 6: 00pm. I order my dinner, glass of wine, a little dessert, ask for another glass of wine and my bill. So far a lovely experience no complaints. It's the last 60 seconds I was there that ruined it for me.I'm sitting alone at my table finishing my glass of wine watching the Olympics having a nice evening. It's just before 7:00, and the gentleman host very curtly and brusquely comes to my table and says "you're finished now you go to the bar, I have people waiting for this table."Had he done it in a nice polite manner I would have happily complied, I understand- it's 7:00 on a Friday night and the restaurant is getting busy for dinner time, and this single lady is taking up a four top table. But It was very disrespectfully asked. So I took my glass of wine and walked right out the front door. My tab was paid, I left a great tip for the waitress, and I walked back to the hotel finishing my glass of wine. Zero stars.
Where to start? Walked in to an empty host area and we waited 8 minutes before a line grew behind us and the host then appeared and asked if we are first in line. Confused by the question, because we were physically standing first in line, I said "yes". He then looked behind us at all the people waiting to verify that we were first.... weird, but OK. Sat at the table... received water from a busser and was given time to look over the menu. Overpriced everything, but that was expected. Then... never saw our server again. Waited 20 minutes. Finally the same host came to the table and asked us for our menus.... I told him we haven't even ordered and he still insisted we give the menu to him. After another 5 minutes of waiting....we got up to leave. Suddenly a different server stopped us and said they could take our orderr. No thanks! Over 30 minutes in that restaurant and all we got was tap water. Epic service fail.
We did a to-go order and I was stuck between teriyaki and sushi so I got a bit of both and everything was on point. Next time planning to dine in. Good tempura too.
Uncooked clump of noodle in Ramen. Tonkatsu soup base is very thin and synthetic, lacking naruto and noki. Was reminded by the waitress that the Ramen doesn't come with pork, which is fine, but the fact that the soup tastes like white miso is just ?. Please don't eat Ramen here. Taste of food is below average. Decent service.
Such a fun experience! Our chef was hilarious and very entertaining. The service was great! The only thing that I was not a fan of was compact the room was so we were a little squished. Other than that, amazing night!
Overall not great. Poorly managed. The food was okay but overpriced. Seemed a bit run down, walking in there was no host just the stool on the counter. The restaurant was okay looking except for the carpet and seating seemed old and dirty. There was also a strange smell like they just wiped everything down with rags that had sat in stale water. Our waitress went missing and was never seen again. Would not recommend.
Our chef Mr A. Was the best! Literally, Michelin star quality preparation. ?
