The go-to spot if the wait time for kbbq spots in Chinatown are too long or if we’re super hungry & don’t wanna drive too far from home.I’m not sure if it’s just in our experience (we’ve been here multiple times, even recognized by one of the workers) but we always get seated right away but it takes up to 10+ mins to actually get greeted by a server, even if it’s not busy during the day/near closing. Not a real biggie but does get annoying if you’re super hungry & already know what you want.Meat selection is alright but we usually only get brisket & beef belly here. Sides are pretty good too especially the kimchi.All in all, an alright kbbq place that’s worth it just for the convenience.
We been coming to Mr. Kim’s since it opened up. I’m not one to write reviews but I gotta make this one only because I’m hoping the owners can see it. It’s been 2 times already that we come during lunch time. 12-2pm and there’s only ONE server. Not only is she serving she is also at the front and not mention cleaning the tables. She is doing all this while waiting 10 tables and helping in the kitchen. Now I know the owners can most definitely AFFORD to pay more than one worker. It’s not fair to her and it’s not fair to the paying customers. Don’t get me wrong she is doing an amazing job (her name is Rose by the way). But if you can afford to keep your restaurant open you should be able to get more workers instead of being stingy. I hope that worker is getting paid for 3 people worth of salary. Because that’s literally what she is doing; working extra to make up for the lack of workers that the owners clearly don’t care about. Oh and by the way your meat cuts are getting smaller every time we come. 2 stars until the owners can hire more people and the meat cuts go back to normal .
Most amazing restaurant I have ever been to. The food was amazing. The experience one of a kind. The meat was delicious fresh. The SOJU STRAWBERRY and the Pineapple were delicious. Forget Benihannas this is the place to go ? down. Amzing
A lovely little Korean BBQ option that is well priced. Honestly the $4 difference between option A and B is totally worth just the addition of the pork belly. Some of the most tender squid we have ever been served. A good selection of sides added flavor beyond just meats and vegetables. Their robot conveyor belt delivery was also pretty cool and helped with service.
Amazing food!!! Meat cuts were very good not fatty or chewy. Rib eye was delicious. They also have a variety of tasty sides. Would give 5 stars but service was a little slow. Maybe just an off night.

Very quick service, and fresh meats! A really good selection, and they have a starter and advanced menus so if you're not looking for out of the ordinary meets, you can save a bit of money. Very happy with the service, typical of a Korean barbecue place with very tight operations. The wait time was not that bad on the thursday, we were seated promptly and our meets are already cooking within 15 minutes of arriving. We'll be back!
Overall the food and the prices are good. Service is okay considering that everyone is short-handed. It takes a while for you to see the waitress between ordering and you have to wait to order the next items, once she takes the order the meats are promptly delivered.
Just moved to the area and being familiar with Korean bbq I was interested to go to this place. We ended up taking mom and dad and WOW. We were greeted and seated immediately. Not sure if you have been to other spots but the side option choices here area amazing. Everything was awesome and being from Hawaii it was great to have a Hawaii local as our server. Mahalo for the great service Kai!!! We will definitely be frequenting Mr Kim’s!!!
