We love ❤️ Makai. The best Hawaiian food in town!!!The restaurant is nicely decorated in Hawaiian theme. The restaurant is very clean , fresh and inviting. The Hawaiian ? music set us in the mood as soon as we walked in. It brings back beautiful memories of Hawaii.Upon entering it is set up line style. So you follow in formation and you can start the ordering process. Everyone at the counter was very friendly. You pick and choose your meats, and your sides. All perfectly displayed right in front of you as you decide.We had : Katsu Chicken and Teriyaki chicken . The food tasted fresh and tasty , large portions and you will eat everything, delicious all the way!!The staff were super friendly and we have received the best service.Healthy, clean and delicious, especially for the money it presents a great value.I would recommend Makai to anyone who likes island food. Its like having the islands in your backyard. Highly recommended!!!Mahalo for a great experience!!!
4 stars because service was slow. The place was not busy at all. I served myself coke and it was not good so I told the cashier. She just walked away and left me standing there. I asked if they were going to serve me coke from the back and a different cashier said they were working on it. You would think they’d come to me and let me know it was fixed and I could serve myself some coke. Yeah, NO! I had to go back up and ask to which she just responded “yeah”. I don’t know if this girl was having a bad day or what. The food was good though.
Great mac salad and loved the garlic edamame! The teriyaki chicken didn’t have big chunks of fat hanging off of it like other Hawaiian places I’ve been to previously.
My favorite thing on the entire plate is the mac salad, everything else tastes mediocre and mild. Though, the steak is nice and tender, it doesn't taste unique.
This is our go to for Hawaiian plates. The chicken katsu can't be beat, the kimchi slaw is fantastic, and the macaroni/potato salad is worth it :) maybe the only thing worth considering adding to the menu would be spam musubi!
My husband and I love it here! We go weekly! The teriyaki chicken is amazing, chicken Katsu is amazing, the spicy Poke is to die for. The portions are big and it always tastes fresh.
Makai is my new Hawaiian grill. I go by weekly. Food is great. Friendly staff. The spicy teriyaki sauce is the best.
I visited the Henderson NV store after drooling and obsessing over their Instagram page for months. I live in Arizona so it took me awhile to get over there and my expectations were very high. I think the Instagram page is of one of their other locations because the experience I thought I would have did not happen. But social media influencers DO have a way of making places look amazing! The food was very good. It just looked like and tasted like it had been sitting in the hot pans for awhile and was not fresh. All of the employees looked to be just starting out on the job scene all very young so maybe not a lot of drive yet to put the best foot forward with freshness, organization and cleanliness. The portions were great and the prices were fair. I would definitely recommend any of these locations because the food is very delicious and different. A must try. Next time I will go to the main location in Las Vegas and see if there's any difference.
All is have to say is .... WOW !!!! Most amazing Hawaiian food in town, im bummed it took me this long to come here. Food quality is great. Friendly staff and priced very fairly for the portion size ! Dont think twice, head down !!!
