Found this little treasure last night! I was looking for an Italian restaurant and came across Il Chianti…literally down the street from my home! It doesn’t look like much from the outside but walk in and wow! You’re greeted by some of the friendliest staff. They all seemed genuinely happy to be working there. The ambiance is refreshing; nice music, lighting is just right and the setting is just so….comfortable!You never want for anything….but you do not feel intruded upon. I loved reading about the History and the Chef on the menu. ?We started with some of the best bread I’ve ever had! Soft and warm and full of flavor for dipping! We then went with the grilled calamari. Out of this world delicious! I’ve never had calamari grilled before and it was the bomb! They cover it in this sauce that you simply must try.We had Chicken Marsala and the Carbonara Della Nonna (at the recommendation of our waiter). Great choice! The pasta was so fresh and sauces were perfect. There was so much food we had plenty to take home.We honestly would have loved dessert, but just couldn’t eat anymore. Prices were moderate and worth every penny!We are already planning our next visit!Bottom line? You simply must visit!
Awesome local Italian joint. Came at the recommendation of a waiter friend who works there and we weren't disappointed. Everything was insanely fresh and tasted wonderful. Leave room for the brulee cheesecake! Be warned it's very rich so trust me when I say split a single serving with your partner. If you're in the market for Italian that isn't Olive Garden you won't go wrong with Il Chianti! I'll definitely be going back.
Wonderful service, the chef came out to check on us and everything. Rack of lamb with mushroom risotto was absolutely amazing.
A friend of mine told me about this place, and he's a chef, so I wasn't surprised with the exquisite cuisine we found at this 5 star dining establishment. It's located in a strip mall, but don't let the location deceive you, the food here is EXCELLENT and the presentation is like you would receive from the fanciest place in town. Our server, Roger, made sure our dining experience was delightful, so much so that we'll be back---all the way from Michigan!!!
Me and my husband Carleto have found our go to spot. The food is excellent and the Chef is very personable. The staff is awesome and very attentive, they make you feel special-which make you want to come back. Hi Justin!! We have visited at least five times in a four week period. BEST BREAD in town.
I booked a reservation here because of the Yelp reviews. I'm so happy I did! Everything was top notch, from the food to the service to the atmosphere. We ended up staying past closing time, but they didn't rush us out -- just kept pouring more wine. :) The chef came out to introduce himself as well. You can tell how much he loves making delicious food! My partner and I got the Involtini as an appetizer. They were amazing! Our friends got the bruschetta. The portion sizes were large, and we really only needed one appetizer for the four of us. I got the Adobo Nation entree. Wow -- an incredible Asian/Italian fusion! It's their specialty for a reason. We brought our own wine, and corkage was reasonable; they also have an extensive wine list for those looking for something more Italian. We'll be back!
We drove from Phoenix to Vegas after work and knew we'd get to our hotel on the Strip late and didn't want to have to worry about parking or Uber or prices in Vegas for arrival dinner. Found this place online and it was excellent. The friendliest servers, chef, owner, greeter, you name it. They were all like family. Food was superb. I had the lobster bisque with a lobster tail as an appetizer. Then I had these lovely little delicate purses of tortellini with shrimp in a lovely pink sauce. Hubby had the spaghetti and meatballs because he's predictable - but he loved it. Desserts looked great and everyone at other tables was ordering but we were full!
I really love this place. Chef Janeo and Roger are so kind and really contribute to a wonderful experience and atmosphere. The food was soo amazing, I got tiramisu for dessert and I got the chicken parm with linguine and bruschetta for an appetizer. They also respect food allergies here when you mention it to them so that’s why my chicken parm has no cheese. Il Chianti is also family friendly so bring your family for a nice dinner. Overall I really enjoyed dinner here and I always recommend this place to a lot of my friends and family and I’ve always had a wonderful time.
I never thought Italian food served in a strip mall cooked by a Filipino chef could be as good as this. Super surprised by the result high marks all round. The wait staff was superb and had excellent recommendations. The chef did a great job making delicious cuisine and the portions were sizable to boot. Wine was reasonably priced too. I'd go back in a heartbeat next time I'm in the area. If the Italian food was this good I can only imagine the result if they opened a Filipino food place next door. Now that would make a great 2 night out combo! If you're in the area and craving Italian or even if not stop in here you won't regret it!
