Honestly? I truly love the interior design of this place and the aesthetics of food. It’s a melting pot of inclusiveness since everyone loves chicken and hey, their chicken IS halal (!) hence it widens the customer base. They did a great job on marketing the place, too.Now, let’s talk food. Shall we? Frankly speaking, it looks better than how it tastes - that’s my own subjective opinion. Although the chicken is tender and juicy, it’s too sweet for me; it would’ve been tolerable had it not been served with cake-level-sweet slaw AND a sauce that is also generously sweetened with sugar. I was missing a taste of something sour, tangy, and/or zesty that would’ve perfectly balanced out this sweetness. No, it doesn’t matter how spicy it is. Also, the fries taste good, but they leave your mouth dry wanting to reach either for water or again, for a sauce that wouldn’t contribute to the sense of heaviness and sweetness that your taste buds become “taste blind/numb” to at some point. Their fries make me crave for veggies; lots of juicy, fresh, and hydrating veggies.I’ll definitely come back, but because every time I leave feeling heavy and bloated, I won’t be too frequent of a customer as I may have chosen to be had I not developed the aforementioned sensations.
I had cheesey hot chicken sandwich, was definitely the best sandwich I had ever had! My girlfriend got the chicken and waffles and she loved it. Definitely glad we made the trip there

Houston we have a problem! The chicken is too yummy! ( I tried the hottest spice level and i can't stress this enough, do not try it!! I was in pain for 15 minutes straight and it hurts even worse when it was time to go #2 ? so beware. The chicken itself is super delicious, so much flavor and taste, the sauce to dip the chicken is lovely. The fries are crunchy and tasty. Staff is very nice and helpful. Hands down a 11/10 experience, would very highly reccomend! Follow them on instagram also!
Just tried this today and not only was the food excellent, the service and enthusiasm of the employees is what truly made us want to go back. Everyone was hustling, the restaurant was clean and employees checked on us multiple times. Will definitely be back!
Me and my husband went here for the first time. And food along with customer service was top-notch. The cashier she was super helpful when I couldn't decide on what to get and also really helpful with a spice level of my chicke. also I was able to taste the lemonades before buying which was really helpful. Our food came out pretty quick and was really hot and tasted so goodit was different but in a very good way. even the servers were really nice and made sure we enjoyed our food along with getting and making sure anything we needed it we had . I definitely recommend and we will be back to support. Also don't forget to check in on Yelp to get a free cookie. I tried the cookies and cream and it was so good they have so many different flavor cookies as well and one of the cooks let's us know about the Yelp offer as well. Everyone was very nice and seem to enjoy working here you can tell! and that sets a nice and fun atmosphere for customers !A very important aspect with any business.
The chicken was super soft and lean. High quality poultry and not steroid up like other chicken tender spots. Waffle was perfectly cooked and weirdly did not need syrup. The fries were perfectly seasoned and cooked. The milkshake was out of a soft serve machine but not bad quality. I would get Spicy ? next time medium was not hot at all. This is definitely my favorite chicken and waffle spot in the city.
Quick friendly service. We ordered the chicken sandwich and fries.It was a lovely day so we decided to sit outside. Our food was brought to us.The chicken was juicy and had just enough spice one was medium spicy). The fries were crispy and seasoned well .10x's better than any fast food chicken sandwich. And served just as quickly.We will definitely be returning next time we are needing a chicken fix.
Definitely coming back here! Houstons Hot Chicken is not lying when they say HOT. Most spicy chicken sandwiches are more of a medium/mild. I ordered the spicy and it was the perfect level of spice! And if I ever want more, they have an extra spicy as well. Their chicken was juicy, great flavor and good spice! And I love that they top it off with Cole slaw.Their fries are good too, they're slightly sweet almost due to the seasoning.The place is clean, bright and the service is great! Everyone was friendly and the food was out quick. You couldn't ask for more :)
If you have not tried this place, what are you waiting for?The staff are very friendly. This is my first time here. They're knowledgeable about the "heat" aka spiciness. They ask you if you want everything on the sandwich. That's a plus. I wish everywhere did that.The food was freshly prepared after my order. The fries have seasoning on them. The chicken has sauce and cole slaw on it. I asked for the Cole slaw on the side.There's seating inside. The place is very clean.I'm impressed and will be back.
