Always enjoy the view, ambiance, and usually the meal. Today everything was perfect. The California Club/potato fries as well as the salmon/broccolini were perfect. Jonny is always a entertainingly great server.
Buckman's never disappoints. I wasn't crazy about the temporary Sunday Brunch Menu, but my hubby and our friends loved it, and I found something I really enjoyed. But I'm glad that's only hanging around for a few more weeks because their normal Breakfast menu is fantastic. Their Bloody Mary's are FABULOUS, and of course the view is amazing. I gave it a moderate rating for value only because it's VERY reasonably priced, but certainly not cheap like a Denny's might be. (And if you want to cheap out, you probably won't appreciate how good Buckman's is.)
Food was just ok, service was not the best and they have a full bar but no cocktail menu. You just have to think on the spot what you would want them to make and they ask the bartender if they can make it.
We were seated and given water by the â not our serverâ team member. For the 20+ minutes, while our supposed server acknowledged other patrons, we were ignored. Patrons who arrived after us had their beverage and food orders taken. The assigned server waited at the bar while drinks were being prepared. We left without any food for another neighborhood eatery. So very disappointed.
Menu is excellent, both for lunch and dinner. Great service as well. View is spectacular overlooking the golf course.
We were seated promptly by a very polite and pleasant young waiter. The service was excellent. Food was served at just the right pace. The house salad was well prepared with a combo of greens, not the simple and blend house salad we usually get from other restaurants. At our table one of us ordered chicken tortellini (excellent), two others ordered the rib special. The ribs were tender and meaty, with just the right amount of seasoning. It could use a small amount of BBQ sauce on the side for us sauce lovers. The corn bread was fresh and tasty. The fries were meaty and with just the right amount of salt. We don't usually consume the entire serving of fries for weight concerns, but we finished them all. Our water/beverages were refiled frequently. We will definitely come back and also bring friends whenever possible.
Good food. Just the eggs in the Benedict were over cooked.
Just love this place and ALMOST everything about it! We are being tremendously picky but we believe they need to replace their syrup vendor. They advertise âwarm maple syrupâ but on the last couple of occasions the syrup has not been warm and their brand of maple syrup has the consistency of glue - yuck! The next time we have breakfast at Buckmanâs Grill we will bring our own syrup.
This is a nice place but can be so much better. The staff is extremely kind and concerned but we always feel they are under staffed. So service is always a little slow. The food is really good and again the few staff members available are great. So we will come back!. It would be so great if they did a little remodel. It’s looking very tired. I truly feel it could be a great place to meet up with friends.
