AWESOME!! Went in Black Bear and talked to the manager Geoff Cragin. Asked him if he could make a wish come true for our Grandmother who is turning 85 . Told him I have 20 people . Her kids, grandkids and Great Grandkids that want to help her Celebrate her Birthday. He said , I’m going to make this happen for you. They don’t take reservations and it’s first come that are waiting. I’m coming in a half hour early to let him know we’re coming and he will do everything possible to get it done. AWESOME
Food is good with generous sized portions. Atmosphere is warm and welcome. The staff are kind and prompt.
For all the good reviews this place has received, I was pretty disappointed with my experience. First, there was no sign to indicate if I should seat myself or wait to be seated. And no one at the front to greet anyone. Eventually, someone passing by took notice and got me a table and menu. The table service was fine from that point onward but the food left a lot to be desired. I had the new york steak and it was probably one of the blandest steaks I've had in ages. Even using the steak sauce available on the table barely improved it. Checking out was also a bit of a trial, though a minor one at that. One person to handle those of us wanting to pay so we could leave but again, no one to check people in. One couple that walked in and waited to be seated while the rest of us were cashing out got tired and left. Can't say I blame them. I love food and I don't expect every experience to be amazing but there was nothing about this meal that would even make me want to try again.
Family came to Vegas to say goodbye to our father, this was one of his favorite places to eat! Staff is awesome, food is awesome! Party of 11 and everything was perfect! Waiter was phenomenal! Wish they had a location in Ohio!
Horrible service. Ordered online went to pick up when they said our food would be ready. Was greeted and asked what the name on the order was. I gave the name and was forgotten about for about 10 minutes standing at the front. Two others customers that had came to pay were waiting and complaining about the horrible service that night as well. When finally seen again the greeter totally forgot who I was and ran back and came back 5 minutes later with our food. When we got home we opened our meals and they were completely wrong I ordered a California burger and my Fiancee ordered a Bob's Big bear. The pictures are what we received literally just a patty cheese and avocado for my burger. This is the second time this place has been a disappointment. Will not be giving them anymore business. Also received no condiments, paper towels or utensils.
Not the cheapest place to get breakfast, but you get what you pay for. The meals are still relatively affordable, and MAN do they taste good. Ive had their breakfast burrito, chicken fried steak and eggs, blackberry filled bear claw french toast, and now their st patties day breakfast special.Its literally the best hollandaise sauce ive ever had. Makes me wonder what went wrong every other time i ordered eggs hollandaise in my life.Corned beef hash is bursting with flavor.The freaking french toast is pretty next level too. I had to share it with some friends because it was so rich and filling.If you want good breakfast, go here, seriously.
We had 8 of us there, they got us all seated in a matter of minutes. Our server was amazing and so patient. The food was fresh and tasted great! I finally got to try the Cheeseburger Salad! My new favorite! Several servers came out and brought a scoop of ice cream and sang happy birthday to my grandson! I highly recommend Black Bear Diner in Henderson,NV
The food is delicious! There are so many options the biggest problem is trying to decide what to have? The staff is always friendly and helpful! We have made this our favorite diner!
Been to black bear diner tons of times. Usually service is horrible but was pleasantly surprised this time. Only reason this wasn't five stars is it was so clean and sterile, that the heat of what I look for in a breakfast place just wasn't there. Pancakes ate still amazing though. Also had a patty melt. Make sure you order extra onions. Was a little over done, but still tasty.
My wife and I dined here for lunch. She had the Breakfast Special that was free for joining their online club. it was Han, Two Eggs, French Toast and Hashbrowns. I had the Chili Burger with fries. YUM! The service was excellent. Management should be proud. I will return.
