Definitely eclectic menu. I was so torn on what to order as everything sounded so interesting. Had the Eviled eggs for an app, needed some salt and pepper but were okay overall. I ended up with the shrimp and grits for an antree and was not disappointed. Plenty of shrimp on a bed of fried grits. Rounded off with the Mexican mud pie - not for the faint of heart as it has an extremely flavorful little kick to it. Had to wait for it to thaw out a little as it was partially frozen when it was served. Unique decor and awesome service. I'd definitely come back when I return for the hot springs.
We are visiting from Texas and we have heard from everyone in town to try this place. And I’m so glad we finally did… this is the best food we have had in Nevada since we have been here in 5 weeks. The staff was amazing our waiter even went above and beyond and made us SWEET TEA!! That tasted just like Texas. Sweet tea is rare outside of Texas. But our waiter (Evyn) was amazing. We will definitely be back.. try the gumbo it was the bomb! And the house salad!! This chef is absolutely a chef.
I wish I would of gotten a picture but, I was so hungry it didn't happen. I had the chicken pickle sandwich with fries. The sandwich was so good! The fries are good too. The chicken wasn't over cooked and the pickles were crisp. Service was very friendly, it was a Saturday and busy.
The food was done very well. Great seasoning of the food. Very inventive. Chef did a great job. Wait staff all seemed good and happy. Our waiter did a great job. He was awesome and funny.
I was told they can’t sell me food to go after a certain point. A lady walked past me with a to go box as I was told this. I do not understand. Your making food…put it in a box instead of on a plate….I’m no rocket surgeon but this seems really dumb. 0 out of 10 would not recommend. Try us sub base or the La Bakery.
My husband and I met some friends for lunch at Sassafras. The service was fantastic. They have such a large menu it’s hard to get the same thing twice. Our meal this time consisted of two excellent salads. I had a salmon salad my friend had voodoo Cesar salad. The guys both had burgers. Pizza burger for one bacon bleu cheese for the other. All were exceptional. We will come back here again.
After a long 7+ hour drive from Oregon, this was a perfect choice!Amazing food, great atmosphere, very busy, friendly staff, good selection of beer.Chimichanga and fish and chips were excellent.Thank you for the recharge and we will see you next time and recommend to our friends traveling.
Absolutely yum yum! The curds appetizer was had fabulous flavors.Highly recommend the Lamb Burger and the Ahi BLT. Amazing food with fabulous service?? Prices are well worth what you get??
I love sassafras because they have all natural ingredients the staff is super safe with the mask and I loved the food all natural ingredients Adam was the best server ever the drinks on point I was a bar tender for 10 years and they wowed me with the drinks
This is a popular spot to have a nice dinner. Some unique dishes, with a variety of options. I had a delicious plate of sand dabs and a lovely lavender lemon drop. yumm
