The restaurant has a western themed motif with hanging wagons throughout. They have reasonable prices compared to California and their portions are large. There's a magician that goes from table to table doing card tricks and that helped keep the kids entertained.
Wow is all I can say. But I’ll say more anyway! The food here is above awesome! I had the Double Deuce BBQ plate with ribs and chicken. It came with crispy onions - homemade not those ones from the can, baked beans with cut up sausage served n a tortilla bowl with cornbread with honey butter and cole slaw.I will be going back to try the brisket and their other menu items. Fast service as well! Awesome!!!Update! I went back twice before leaving town and got their rib-eye steak with the special rib rub and I’m telling you right now it was THE BEST steak I have EVER had!!! That’s why I got it two nights in a row!!If you are in Carson City YOU HAVE TO GO HERE!!! Lol thanks for reading!!
Generally giant food portions. The menu does allow for half portions and full size. Everything we ordered was good. It's basically American food with also BBQ. Definitely southern flare with the sweet cornbread, but no sweet tea. Lol. Our server was very friendly. The atmosphere is fun with all the antique vehicles hanging from the ceiling. They also have a wood burning fireplace for cooking food, which makes everything smell good and makes the food better. The prices are average. We come to Tahoe on vacation every year. This place was fun, but not sure I'd want to go back. It was pretty noisy and kind of just average. It's definitely a tourist spot, so in that sense I'm glad I saw it. Our teenagers loved it. So, we may end up going back next year. Who knows?
Red's Old 395 Grill is amazing, the staff was wonderful, the food was great. It has got to be the best restaurant in Carson city!
1st timers (Mother's Day '22). I was treated to a nice dinner out. A lot of their menu appears to be spicy (not my thing) but I found a chicken w/mushrooms & capers over linguine dinner (petite portion) that was tasty. Desserts? Oh My, MY. The dessert menu alone is reason for a repeat visit!
So this place was a special treat! My husband's always wanted to take me here. We finally got a chance to today. The staff is super friendly, helpful, and attentive. I would really recommend this place. They make a good cocktail, and have a ton of beers! Wonderful atmosphere! Just look up and you'll see a lot of American History right above your head! I'm looking forward to going back there again!
Massive portions and decently good bbq. I only wish there was more than one sauce option. All the employees were very pleasant though and there's no way you'll walk away hungry.
I've been to both locations of this restaurant numerous times. The staff is friendly enough and the atmosphere is good but the food is always just kind of so-so. This is also the opinion of people I've gone with. I keep trying to like the place but it's just not for me.** edit 4-27-22. Went here today for a work luncheon. I had the bacon burger and fries, and it was amazing! Much better food today than previous visits. (Pic is after I'd eaten the meat out of the burger and most of the fries)
We have eaten here before a few times and have never been disappointed. the food has always been great and always had great service. The last time we were there we split a rib plate and it was awesome. the beans and coleslaw were great. Plus they have corn bread that is outstanding. Yes we will be back!
Food offerings are wonderful choices for any pallet. Barbecue Brisket chicken sausage,burgers and brew, pizzas and salads. Always a very upbeat weight staff, full bar with a few built in bar slots, so many collective things all over in the ceiling a lot to keep your eyes busy
