I changed my view of Betsy's Big Kitchen after eating lunch there today. Meat was skimpy on my sandwich only covered half of the bun that was stale. All the food was just slightly warm not hot. When I complained about it to the manager (Princess) She said that's the way it is if you want more meat on your sandwich you'll have to pay for it. I was wondering why Betsy's was almost empty at lunch time now I know with management and cooks like that I'll go eat somewhere that they care. It's not Betsy's. Not one of the employees had a smile on their face. It is a big change from how it used to be. I won't go back.
Today was mine a my boyfriend's first time going there. The food was awful. They served his steak straight up raw and uncooked, vegetables were frozen. His salad was also bad, had old pieces of lettuce on it and there were little to no toppings on it. My chicken quesidilla tasted like it was left overs from someone else's plate and microwaved for 30 seconds. Never going back.
The food was good except the hash browns, which were basically raw.Just order CRISPY hash browns and you will be fine.
Have always been allowed to sit and eat at the counter. There were two people at the counter, we were told by some dark haired Asian lady yesterday we couldn’t sit there, even though there were two other people eating there and we were told to immediate leave. No problem. Here a one star for you and even that’s too many stars.
Friendly service. I only ordered Stella on tap & fries with cheese & bacon. The Stella was nice & cold. The cheese on the fries not the best and it needed more bacon bits.
Prices have gone way up over the last few years with the new economy, but may or may not reflect the casino side of business.Like most restaurants food and service can be anywhere from really good to not so much on any particular day depending on any number of factors....I suppose the above could be said about most any restaurant ?, and so over a few visits to Betsy's, I think the workers are generally happy, and the managers try for the better experience, and so food and service is generally pretty good too ?
We have eaten here many times and we have never had a bad meal. Tonight, my wife had their soup a clam chowder and it was outstanding. All their soups ae homemade. I had a chili burger and it was very good. We will be back.
I had to take another star off due to the level of smoke that is present while you’re eating your meal. This could be a really good restaurant if it was separated somehow from the casino. I get it that they need to have places to eat in casinos but the smoke was so bad, I had to put everything I was wearing in the laundry when I came home, including my coat. The wait staff is awesome, our waiter was very attentive. He has come to know my friend and her 102 year old mother, since she’s a regular. He did a great job and was extremely polite.
I gave it 3- stars because of our server, Michael. He took our drink order, went and firted with some ladies then went in the kitchen and started snacking. Finally we got our drinks, my son & I were ready to walk out. Then Michael took our order, got our food that was very good. We will never go back, because of the service!
Good food and service usually. This visit, the food took about 45 minutes. The waitress said there was a mix up and management would come talk to us. The manager never did.
